I can say without hesitation or reservation you cannot go wrong with Thabet Khalidi. Hands down the best attorney I have ever known or worked with. I am a Viet Nam Combat veteran, self-employed most of my life, absent business only for my military service. I have never had anyone more willing to go above and beyond the call to duty as Thabet did in my case. (that is without risking life and limb). My case started with a federal tort action for medical malpractice against the VA. I searched for more than a year for a lawyer willing to take on the VA in a Federal Tort Action. I was turned away by many saying they did not think I could win. Finally found an attorney in the DC area that stepped up. 1st tort action, hard fought but we lost. We filed an appeal, lost again. After losing a Federal Tort Action and appeal, you can sue the Federal Government in civil court, however, Federal Tort Action rules apply. I believe this is the reason that many firms were reluctant to take on my case, so I filed the suit myself. I had fought the good fight for six years and lost but I was not ready to quit. I filed the suit and all required documents Pro Se representing myself. I sure do not recommend that. Soon I am in desperate need of legal advice and representation. I am so grateful to Honorable David Bury, United States District Judge who asked if I would mind if he tried to find me an attorney to take on my case. WOW, did I mind, no way! I really appreciated the thought however I gave it little chance of success; after all I was willing to pay and had no success in finding a lawyer. Soon after I received a call from an amazing, down to earth human being, who offered me an opportunity that every other lawyer I approached denied. That amazing human being was Mr. Thabet Khalidi. Thabet reviewed the case and discussed it at length with me. I told him that several firms professing to be malpractice experts deemed a successful outcome highly unlikely, yet Thabet agreed to take my case. That was the beginning of the end of this six yearlong battle. The ending, a very nice settlement from the Government. Just as important, Thabet proved the standard of care I received was inadequate. I have to live with the results for the rest of my life, hopefully these results will be helpful in preventing someone else’s pain and suffering. Thabet was unflappable, passionately tenacious and industriously creative with pure integrity and respect for how law should be practiced. He worked harder than I would have expected, after hours, we met several times on weekends and he was extremely reliable with required follow-up. He brings to the table rare aptitudes. He responds quickly and collaborates dynamically with an open mind. Thabet is incredibly quick to respond to challenging circumstances with strategies that usually produce desired results. I highly recommend Thabet Khalidi to anyone who is looking for legal advice, consultation, or legal intervention from an experienced attorney. I would highly discourage from hiring this attorney. I pod a rather large consult fee, the. Retain him. I asked about the upcoming court hearing and he basically accused me of miscommunication that was all via email. I would look elsewhere for help on any family issue

Thabet and his team represented me in a lengthy child custody dispute. We were successful in winning the relocation of the children out of state. He and his team skillfully organized and presented a huge amount of evidence to accomplish this herculean task. Thabet is incredibly capable in the courtroom and Leanne his paralegal is quite possibly the most organized person on this planet. We are so happy with the outcome.

Thabet and his exceptionally professional team helped me win custody of my two children which involved an out-of-state relocation. Our case was very complex requiring more than a thousand pages of evidence which were required to prove that my exwife was a skilled liar and manipulator. Leanne compiled all of this over two years as this painful story developed and created 2 4-inch binders of perfectly organized information. She did so much more than this, keeping Thabet organized and armed with the right information at the right time. He was masterful in the court room skillfully presenting the evidence in a way that made sense and clearly presented our case. Which resulted in the children returning with me to our home on the east coast and I was awarded attorneys fees. He even noticed a breach of professional ethics by one of my ex’s expert witnesses and we recently settled a punitive damages claim with their insurance company. Thabet has been a great counselor, litigator and friend, he is well worth his fees.

Thabet is a very intelligent and logical thinker. He also keeps his eye focused on what’s important for his client. This combination makes him a real problem solver. I was involved in a very complex divorce case that had been dragging on forever due to machinations by the opposing side. My attorney at the time ,who had many years of experience, seemed to keep getting mired in the details of the case, wasted time (and considerable expense) doing work that should have been delegated to an admin, paralegal, or accountant, seemed to miss the point on things, etc. I went to Thabet on recommendation from a corporate attorney I had used and the change was like a breath of fresh air. He understood quickly complexities that my previous attorney still didn’t seem to comprehend, answered procedural questions for which my previous attorney had given me wrong answers, etc. I can’t say enough good things about Thabet - I only wish I had found him 9 months sooner. I give him the highest possible recommendation.
