Honestly very grateful, Sean took me on for an emergency hearing at last moments notice, but this is why they are getting 2 stars.
Office staff were not very friendly, very short and unprofessional. Whether it was phone calls or walking in office they seemed very disorganized. They had no issues setting up my payment plan however when they ran out of my retainer fee.
Sean, while very kind and understanding was not always well organized or seemed on top of things. He was not available when I had questions and did not seem as aggressive as he could have been in court. Looking back and now having another lawyer on my case, I can see where the ball was dropped. I can not say if its because he's not great at his job or because of the high stakes and short time frames we had. I did end up losing physical custody of my children in a case where he said it was open and shut. He ate through my retainer fee and then some with poor results.

I am a teacher in Tucson and I have been struggling with debt and finances for the past few years. I went to Stephen Trezza in good faith through my work law insurance as he was a highly recommended individual. Our initial interaction started with him 15 minutes late to our appointment, and he seemed not as invested in our case because (in his words) he was “not getting paid a lot” through my insurance. Either way, I saw this as a hopeful out for my financial worries and concerns. After paying an initial deposit we were asked fairly consistently when we would pay the rest of what was requested of us (what wasn’t covered by the insurance). Once we finished paying what was owed, there was no communication whatsoever. We met on May 24th, and our filing was scheduled for July 2nd. After July 2nd came with no contact, I reached out to the office assistant to see if there were any updates on the filing. All of a sudden it became my fault that they were missing documents and packets that were never sent to me. I did the counseling they requested beforehand and gave what I could understand was needed prior to the initial filing date. I’m not a lawyer, and I certainly don’t understand much about legal procedures, so I understandably felt a little frustrated that they rescheduled my filing date to “sometime at the end of July” which quickly became August 2nd. Leading up to August 2nd, I would occasionally receive some requests for documents from the office assistant Erin who was very professional to talk to. I will admit my shortcomings in returning documents in a timely manner as I work two jobs and our teacher trainings were beginning at the end of July and school started August 1st, however, everything as I understood was in order a few days before the new filing date of August 2nd. This summer had been especially taxing with Summer school and finding money to get by during the months outside of school and on top of that my car got flooded during the first monsoon of the season on June 20th. I tried contacting Stephen about this event as it may change the filing, but I was not met with any response until I followed up with my message later on July 2nd which I already covered. Due to a settlement I received on the car, Stephen got frustrated with my case after reviewing it on the day of filing and kept sending unprofessional messages to me that were extremely defensive and put heavy blame on me for not understanding specific words or items that were never clearly elaborated on. I understand this was likely due to the fact that he was “not being paid a lot” by my insurance so his attention was divided more to his better earning clients. Instead of explaining what was needed of me or asking to schedule a call where we can discuss the issues arising from the settlement monies, Stephen chose to point his frustration towards me (his client) and send messages that I would expect from an annoyed acquaintance and not from someone in the legal field. Shortly after calming the situation down (which we were messaging all day while it was the second day of school where I have to deal with my students as well), he sent me a message while I was grading some first assignments that simply said he was unwilling to represent me in court anymore. His exact words at the end were that he was “eating through money just to get away from” me, as if I’m the reason for the miscommunication or misunderstandings that arose throughout our 3-month long dealing which now wasted my time and ruined my credit.
I would not recommend Stephen Trezza as your bankruptcy lawyer. As he responds to all of his reviews I hope to see some clever way for him to denounce me and claim no-blame as he seems to be quite the entitled man-child.

I'm convinced half the positive reviews are fake. This man has no sense of professionalism whatsoever, nor the ability to communicate past the level of a toddler. Screw Stephen Trezza, he's one awful piece of work.
In response to the reply: I'm upset because you wasted MONTHS of our time, and only had communication with us *THE DAY OF* filing, despite having months to prepare for the case. Maybe try taking your job more seriously and you won't get poor reviews for the lack of professionalism and tact you have.

Stephen Trezza Law Firm is fantastic. Stephen and his assistant, Melissa, made this embarrassing and emotional time of filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy so much easier! From the initial consult thru the closing, it totally less stressful than I thought it would be! There was guidelines of what needed to be done and when it needed to be completed. There was open communication between this office and myself! I would highly recommend Stephen Trezza!

I definitely recommend Stephen Trezza for any bankruptcy filing. I was so stressed and overwhelmed when I first began the process but talking to Stephen was very reassuring. The process was very clear and the steps were laid out for me (which as an unorganized person was greatly appreciated). Everything was handled smoothly and professionally and I’m quite happy with my experience. Thank you Stephen and Melissa!

Professional. Handles everything quickly. Just follow their protocol and you'll be fine. Mine was a rather simple ch. 7 however. Thank you Trezza law for helping me get my life back! No more creditor calls, more of my money is freed up to begin rebuilding my finances. Also, keep in mind we're in the day and age of email and text. I do believe him and his staff work from home so be prepared to do everything online but they make it super simple.
