Attorney Burns created a Trust for my family. He seriously disappointed us when he claimed he could provide a care Trust for our 88 year old mom to receive a settlement she won and to be used for living and medical expenses. The Trustee we hired to manage this Trust rejected the Trust document Mr. Burns wrote. It was completely incorrect for what the needs were. Instead of correcting the problem Mr. Burns made every invalid excuse he could, did not admit fault and refused to provide a refund for his services which were faulty at best. We have reviewed the Trust doc he wrote with two other Trust attorneys and they agree the document was written incorrectly for what it is supposed to achieve. For the unsuccessful performance, lack of accountability and unwillingness to refund $3000 for a botched job, we are taking our Trust management elsewhere and not recommending Attorney James Burns.
