I was looking to update our family trust and also develop an estate plan. My wife and I reached out to Mr. James Burns, ESQ. to provide this service. We were not referred to Mr. Burns nor had we ever done business with him in the past. I had researched professionals in our area who did this work. I was impressed with the responsiveness over the phone of Mr. Burns and his office staff and scheduled an in office appointment for my wife and I. Before meeting with Mr. Burns, we were asked to fill out a questionnaire which he would use to focus on during our meeting. At the first meeting Mr Burns reviewed the questionnaire, asked for additional documents, shared his fee’s to do the work, and scheduled a following date to sign our documents. My wife and I found Mr. Burns to be very thorough with great attention to detail. My wife had some anxiety about the process, and Mr. Burns was compassionate and patient to alleviate her concerns. Mr. Burns guided us through the process and he made sure that our wishes regarding the estate plan were met. At the second meeting, We reviewed and signed our documents. We were given a binder that included all the documents which will make it easy to refer to in the future. I would highly recommend James Burns to anyone looking for this service!
