I retained this law firm in December of 2021 as I had received a letter from EDD for ineligibility of benefits for quitting my former employer during the covid pandemic. On the first call I made to the law firm they made me feel at ease as they guided me through the process. Miguel was assigned to my case and he called me to go over details to prep for my hearing. He also took time to speak with me the day of the hearing and assured me I had a strong case. After several days from the hearing Miguel called me to inform me I had won my appeal. To anyone who is stressing out about their EDD appeal and determination. Pershing Square Law Firm has helped me out of the situation and prevented me from a large amount of overpayment. Briefly, about my case, I was affected by the pandemic and filed for EDD. After a year or so, they determined I was not qualified for the benefits and that I give a faulse statement to receive the money. I reached out to PSL since I have no idea about appealing and where to start. The whole process was waiting and once the firm have some update and appeal will happening soon.
