As a small business owner I'm very wary of the people I deal with. I'm frugal and anxious about working with attorneys among other vendors that tend to create large expenses for me. Mr. Otten is very knowledgeable about the CA environmental review process (CEQA) and worked with me and a friend to help us understand how to hold cities accountable for conducting sufficient environmental review on actions. He explained how to block city actions from proceeding when they failed to adequately comply with CEQA. Specifically, we have been focused on proposed city actions to remove and/or top trees. Throughout the time I've been working with him, he has provided timely and thorough responses to my questions, worked extremely hard, has been very strategic in his approach, and has been a pleasure to work with. If you work with him, you'll know that he is on your side 100% and dedicated. He treats clients more as friends, not as $ signs.

I cannot explain how excellent Vic is. I had a case where a jeweler wrote an appraisal for 76000 guaranteeing it is a rare jewel. I purchased it for 36000, and come to find out its just a tanzanite jewel. I had another lawyer working on this case before Vic and never received a call, always delaying everything. I met Vic and his confidence was enough for me to jump on board. Within 6 months Victor had found the jeweler in New Jersey, served him and we got a judgment. I Collected all my money.
