I highly recommend mediation with Barney Connaughton with A Healthy Divorce. He was very patient and listened to our concerns. Barney did a great job of helping my ex-wife and I understand the divorce process, documentation, and key decisions. He did a good job of gently correcting misunderstandings about how the divorce process works, he has a great energy for facilitating mediation, and his pricing is very fair.
There are a lot of situations where divorcing couples need their own individual lawyers, but if you aren’t in those situations, you’ll save a ton of stress and money working with Barney.

Barney did an excellent job guiding our family through the divorce process and assembling the final settlement agreement. He was always professional, practical and efficient which helped keep the process moving through the potentially bumpy/triggering territory that we had to transit. In particular, I appreciate Barney’s efforts to get the agreement over the finish line despite the less-than ideal timing around the holidays. I’m grateful for being able to move on with my separate life quickly and to focus my efforts/resources on kiddos. Thanks for all the help.

Barney Connaughton is by far the most ethical, gracious, understanding and respectful mediator I could have ever asked for. I have recommended him to several friends and loved ones. I would only recommend mediation for anyone having to face the painful process of divorce. Barney brought calm and respect to a very broken marriage.
