My name is Rafael. I Hired Edwin Neal Scheartz to take my case, and we talked about everything that contained information about the accident, and my passenger. We met in PERSON to get acquainted and sign the required forms to hire him. After all his follow up on my case . A meeting was schedule too meet with a third party. On record I was asked questions about the case after meeting with my attorney, to prepare for this Deposition, after being Sworn in in front of both my attorney's Sarah Y. SORENSEN ESQ. I was confident that I said the whole truth about the accident, and my passenger. We met again for the second disposition, and was properly briefed on what Was about to happen. Mr Edwin Neal Schwartz. Was all there before I arrived, every time we met. All forms were filed on time BY my attorney . This made me feel confident that he knew what he had to do. I just want to say that my lawyer Edwin was a great lawyer. Initially he was not my lawyer but was recommended by my lawyer since Edwin had experience in these cases. Edwin was always keeping me updated and letting me know what was occurring throughout the whole process and it was very helpful. Edwin showed up at my Doctors appointments and made sure that all the bases were covered. I would highly recommend Edwin Schwartz to anybody that wants a lawyer that is honest and has your best interest in mind.

Easton & Easton was a very professional and thorough firm. I was feeling overwhelmed with knowing what to do with all of my medical bills after my car accident. My roommate and I were being sued by (and were counter-suing) our crazy ex-landlord in small claims court. The judge, shockingly, ignored state landlord-tenant laws and ruled in favor of our landlord, so we filed an appeal. Four days prior to the hearing for our appeal, my father strongly recommended that I try to hire (or at least consult with) an attorney before the hearing. Not wanting to be blindsided by another ruling (nor wanting to be subject to eternal "I told you so" comments from Daddy), I started scrambling to try to find someone who had the time to dispense some legal advice. I believe I called, and left messages for, 12-15 attorneys that Monday afternoon. The following morning, I received my first call back from Ed Schwartz. I live in Carlsbad, and was not looking forward to driving all the way to downtown SD to meet with him, but I was so happy that Ed agreed to fit in my consultation that it didn't matter...but I was thrilled when Ed told me that, since he lived in North County as well, he would be happy to meet me somewhere closer. We met at a Starbucks the following morning. Ed was there early, and seemed just as prepared as I was: he had already made notes about points he wanted to discuss and some questions he had. I had been fairly confident in my preparation and had done hours' of research, but Ed had a bunch of great suggestions and advice that I hadn't found anywhere else. He instructed me about how to follow court procedures and gave me hints on how to handle the crazy landlord. He also reviewed all my evidence with me, and gave me his feedback and recommendations about which items to leave out and which ones to really focus on, as well as tips on presenting the evidence and asking the court to admit the items. He also taught me about the reasons to object to testimony from the other party, and about the types of grounds on which we could object. When the consultation was finished, Ed recommended that I find and review a specific legal text and asked me to be sure to update him after we received our verdict. I actually called him again the very next day, though, with a couple more questions, which he was gracious enough to answer. And we WON our hearing!! I feel sure that my consultation with Ed was a HUGE factor in our victory, and I'm so thankful that I found him and that he was able to find some time the very next day to squeeze in a consultation. I hadn't felt very hopeful that I would be able to find someone to help on such short notice, and assumed that, if I were able to get an appointment with someone, they might not be a high-quality attorney. Ed showed me that I was wrong on both counts, and I recommend him without hesitation. I will be calling him if I ever need legal help again (but I hope I won't!) Thank you SO much, Ed, for helping my roommate and I get back the $5,000 which our evil ex-landlord almost got away with stealing from us!

I was dealing with a "sticky" tenant issue and retaining Ed very possibly saved us 1000's of dollars and perhaps loss of sleep!!! His knowledge, his guidance and well written correspondences brought closure to what could have been a nasty court case.
