In Jan of 2013 I was caught up in a perfect example of being at the wrong place at the wrong time and hanging out/surrounding myself with the wrong people. I had all my things packed and was in Wa where I moved from California making my last moving trip when the residence I use to live at was raided and no one was there which ultimately resulted in me being charged as well along with the actual person that stayed there for 2 felonys (manufacturing, and possession with intent) only because they found a Verzion bill with my name on it is why I was charged. I originally retained another lawyer which I will not mention names but he literally did absolutely NOTHING and let the case drag on for 2 1/2yrs only in the end for him to tell me the best "deal" he could get me is 1yr prison time and both felonies. He said he "thought it was a fair deal" and he would get me one last extension so I could think about it otherwise we could go to trial and I'd risk getting 3, 5, 7yrs due to the mandatory minimum sentencing if convicted by a jury. I was absolutely furious and scared at the same time and thought my life was over. But instead of giving up I came to the conclusion that I deserved a better deal and due to his lack of experience, knowledge, incompetence and professionalism I was not getting it. I immediately started looking up and researching top Orange County Criminal Defense Lawyers and time and time again Jacqueline Goodman kept popping up due to her outstanding track record and accomplishments in the courtroom. I came up with a list of 8 lawyer's and took a week off work to fly to California and interview them all. The first seven were absolutely horrible and were not giving me a good vibe at all. Jacqueline was the last one which goes with the saying "you save the best for last." Immediately at the interview (which she stayed after hours to make it happen) she made me feel comfortable and hopeful for the first time in almost 3yrs. She gave it to me straight but was confident she could help me. With having court and flying out the next day I retained her. During the ENTIRE process I have NEVER seen anyone as professional, proactive, knowledgeable, or assertive as her! She TRULY cared about my case and treated it as if I was a family member. After a long journey filled with stress/uncertainty and a lot of hard work on her behalf I just finally 2 day's ago put this chapter of my life behind me and took the best "deal" I could have possibly gotten! Went from 1yr in prison along with 2 felonies to getting NO jail time and being on probation for 3yrs! :-) Seriously words can no describe how happy and fortunate I am for making the decision to retain Jacqueline Goodman. She literally saved my life and gave me and my family a second chance! If you are in need of help or considering anyone to represent you do yourself a favor and call her immediately! In 2007 I got myself into a huge predicament. I was a first time offender and I was facing 15+ years in prison. Jacqueline Goodman Rubio was referred to me by one of my mothers friends from church. This by far was the best referral I ever received in my life. I was facing transporting, large quantity of narcotics (400+ Lbs.) , and hidden compartment charges. 3 HUGE felonies that would have ruined my life!
