This is the best law firm I have hired by far in California. They helped me solve my real estate and business headaches promptly. When you are fighting, you need attorneys like them to be strong and always look out for your interest. I am very happy with their services.

Barbara was the 3rd lawyer I hired, and by far the best. The first was a bulldog, who while good, also inflamed the situation and caused more extreme actions. The 2nd took me for $18K and literally did not lift a finger - couldn't even respond to my emails and told the opposing counsel that we would just accept their offer without consulting me. Guess 3rd time is a charm because Barbara hit all the right chords. She may seem unassuming, but her questions and insights were spot on. She knew when to call in experts and was not afraid to acknowledge issues that were beyond her purview. She sought to keep our case out of court was very clear about the choices, options, explain all tradeoffs, and always kept the children top of mind. She also was by far the most accessible and reliable. And at the end of the day, that turned out to be key. There are so many questions and concerns in divorce and if your lawyer is not there communicating, well it doesn't help calm the nerves at all. She offered the help of her assistant when giant discovery demands would come in yet I never believed she was burning my money the way other lawyers do. She is realistic, of course knows the law, and always just seeks a balance between the battles and the war. Btw, I would not say I "won" in the sense of I did not clean up, but nor do I think I lost, and she helped me recognize that while it was up to me, in the end there is also a benefit to simply having the divorce done and being able to move on with life. To be clear - I am very picky about professionals I deal with, and I do not leave a positive review just to be a "nice guy". If I don't mean it or believe it, I don't say it, and I honestly believe you won't go wrong with Barbara. Her heart is sincerely in the right place and that makes a difference. She is not just about making money off her clients.

2005-‘06 were difficult years for me when my then-wife asked for divorce. I gave her EVERYTHING (for a speedy process) n moved into a rental with only 2 suit cases driving 1 of my sister’s cars. I remember i put down my suit cases in the entrance of my rental n cried in dismay at how my life came to that point. But i knew it was time to roll up my sleeves because there were 2 kids to raise. 12 yrs later, today, 1 kid is finishing engineering school n the 2nd kid is planning a path to med school. The crying guy 12 yrs ago with only 2 suit cases to his name went from having a tough time paying rent to owning that condo, a fair stock portfolio n 2 rental properties by way of cheap credits, thoughtful investments n crazy good luck not to mention business partners who were determined to include me in every great deals; cannot thank them enough. I gave back my sister’s car n went from a used Toyota to a new Toyota. All was too good to be true until i fell off my bicycle ended up in a coma n when i woke up i realized i hav came to a point in life where i needed a LIVING TRUST for my kids. My family doctor told me that he had his living trust done n set me up for an appointment with his living trust lawyer, Ms Beatrice Phan. The first meeting was informative. Beatrice meticulously (i will use that word a lot) explained how probate court eats up time/money n how living trust protects my assets n how assets will be passed on to my kids. Within 5 minutes i knew living trust was the way for me to protect my assets n family. I highly recommend a pad of paper with a pen plus 3 cups of coffee because there was important information n Beatrice was...high energy. I walked outta Beatrice’s office totally committed to proceed. Beatrice gave me a list of to-do’s n it took me some time to collect everything. Organization was exactly what the job needed because my to-do list came up with a stack of dox 6 inches high. I did not get that done in 1-go. Beatrice was meticulous with every document follow up. Dox-gathering turned into an educational journey. I did not know how to get ALL NEEDED DOX n had to hav Beatrice guide me, twice, real-time on the phone. I went thru several doc searches, divorce papers, escrow dox, bank accounts, proper bank accnt creation, etc. Beatrice was always patient in her guidance n supportive/helpful at every turn. As it turned out, the biggest part of the job of creating the trust was all the info/dox gathering n then transfer assets into the trust. Admittedly, my case was a bit messy and Beatrice actually straightened out several weak points in my assets. Not only do i now hav a functional living trust but my business n business holdings are all solid n, in some cases, legal. I did set up a few things wrongly. Beatrice helped me with proper structure for ANY future business expansions. Gone are the days of “...i think it is...but i’m not too sure...” Most importantly, both my kids now know exactly what to do, where they stand n where everything is. It’s been a tumultuous 12 years but, now-a-days, i breath easier because i am...”trusted”. By the way, my sister n bro-in-law will soon be getting their own to-do list from Beatrice.
