This review is for David Booth, an attorney within the Law Offices of Cameron M. Fernandez. a quick summary of this review -- this is one hell of a lawyer, and you should look no further. His perfect Avvo reviews speak to my anecdote. My status is that I've been assigned temporary orders while the 6 month waiting period goes through. The reason he deserves a full review is because his solid performance has gotten me way farther than I ever thought I would. The context is that my ex and I have a pretty acrimonious relationship most of the time. We fundamentally disagree on many aspects of custody and support payments, so there was a looming war cloud in front of us. She also thinks I'm a scumbag that cheated on her with my ex who she hates, and also with some other woman friends (despite me not doing so), I've gotten so much crap for a crime that was not committed that I almost wish I had done it. Anyway, I digress. On to results. David has achieved several things so far: - significantly reduced my spousal support from what the calculator claimed was the guideline by about $1k a month (and I only make $85k a year) - got me from every other weekend to 3-4 weekends a month - settled attorney's fees for significantly less of what the other party was asking for, and stipulated that attorney's fees would not be requested again - my ex, despite being on my lease, cannot go into my house without my permission - last but not least: he managed to set an expiration date on spousal support. This is rare, even more so considering he managed to slash the support payments End result? I have my daughter way more, and I saved approximately $60,000 in support payments and attorney's fees, maybe more if I get a raise. David Booth is extremely dedicated, thorough, professional, and sympathetic. I've spoken to many attorneys and this is the first time I felt that I found one that cares about the case as much as he cares about my business, working very hard not to rack up hours but to make sure that I'm satisfied with his representation. He almost takes my case too personally. David is also extremely fair and reasonable, and hasn't "nickel and dimed" me every time he picks up the phone or responds to an email - something he does very quickly. He's there when I need him. Best of all, his fees are great! (As good as they can be for an attorney that is). The opposing party's attorney charges $100 more an hour, and was definitely not as competent as David. Almost a year later, I had to delve again in my case. I cannot believe how well David remembered my details, how quickly he responded to my needs, and how thorough his review of my case had been. It's like seeing a friend from ten years ago and picking up where you left off like if nothing had happened. A truly impressive and professional character. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied, and doubt I'd ever hire a different attorney unless he didn't specialize in the specific area I need help with. He's also fully fluent in Spanish, which I wasn't expecting. If you're looking for excellent legal representation, your search ends here.

The Best!! As an analytical aerospace program manager, I can’t tell you how many attorneys I reviewed and interviewed to find this guy. After our first discussion I thought he must be to good to be true. After litigating a DV case for months with Brett, I can tell you he is the real deal and I couldn't be happier. Brett is always over prepared, professional, courteous and of course, the judges love him. In a matter of months, I have gone from no custody/visitation of my girls (not even a phone call) to 50/50 with Brett. If you are looking to turn the tables in your divorce, Brett is the guy that can make it happen.

If you need a family law attorney Brett is your guy, you're simply not going to find someone better. Brett, Heidi, Holly, and the rest of his team are all EXCELLENT communicators. They forward emails to you immediately so you are kept in the loop of communication, you'll know exactly what they're working on for you at all times. Aside from superb communication, Brett & Heidi are incredibly detailed, they will listen, internalize, and represent you the right way. Let me start by sharing this, my case on paper looked like a complete train-wreck and disaster. Brett quickly explained the process to me, and took my declaration, it was immediately prepared and to perfection. We responded grounded the other party so they can't leave the state with a toddler under the age of 2. From there things got worse as the other party continuously added more and more allegations along the way. Brett took his time to not only explain to me what the other party's intentions were when they take certain steps, the explained what we can do as a counter. Brett will reveal his warchest to you to let you know what actions he can take as your attorney. This is very important because this will allow you to prepare your evidence or find the right type of evidence to prove or defend any claims. In my case there were numerous false allegations against me, and due to proper guidance from Brett, I was able to find 1 piece of evidence after another to prove that the other party was simply just a liar. Brett and his team united me with my baby boy after the other party filed a false domestic violence order against me and stopped me from seeing my son for over 2 months during his most precious years. I am forever grateful for what his office has done to reunite us, and not only reunite us, we were able to settle for 50/50 custody time for a child under 2 years old, and I'm the father! Thank you Brett, Heidi, and Holly for everything you all have done.

Our family is pleased to recommend Brett Wishart to anyone looking for a family law attorney. (We were actually referred to him by another attorney's office, whose assistant told us in confidence that if she were going through a divorce, Brett Wishart would be her first choice.) We found Brett after 10 months of dealing with another attorney and her incompetent staff. Just 2 weeks before a very important court date, we were in a tight spot and Mr. Wishart came to the rescue. He even came in on the 4th of July weekend to meet with us!! Brett is caring, he's professional, and he's very good at weeding through the mess of a divorce. His first priority was to try to keep the costs down by avoiding a long drawn out court trial. He tried tirelessly to achieve this, while never willing to jeopardize a favorable outcome. Although this was not achieved, we are grateful to have been able to see Brett in action in the courtroom! He seemed to always be one step ahead of opposing counsel and also fully aware of what the judge was thinking. His knowledge of the law and the court system is invaluable. While we were very impressed with his courtroom presence, he also blew us away with his masterfully written arguments and responses. We are still waiting on the judge's ruling, but we feel confident that we had the best attorney money can buy, and we will be forever grateful for the heartfelt service he provided.

My case involved protecting my newborn son from his father and his immediate family involved with drugs. From the beginning, Brett devised effective strategies to ensure I would attain sole physical and legal custody. He was methodical in his thinking which always elicited a great deal of confidence within me. His kind and patient demeanor always put me at ease. Brett and his team always responded to my questions and concerns in a timely manner. I was never in the dark and always kept informed of current and next steps in the process. His legal strategies ultimately kept me out of court(saving me money) and brought the case to resolution completely in my favor. I fired David Booth after 2 1/2 years for his lack of professionalism, lack of integrity and dragging my case through the Family Court system for two and a half years due to his ineffectiveness as an attorney. David selected Minors Counsel to represent my son. Minors Counsel is Davids previous mentor. When Minors Counsel lied in court and didn’t show up to a court hearing, David defended her actions before the Judge. As a teacher, I took off 2 consecutive days off work and paid Davids legal fees for the 2 days I appeared in court due to Davids incompetent counsel. David did not protect my son from my ex husband and as a result my son has been abused emotionally, psychologically and medically. The medical negligence my son has sustained as a result of David’s carelessness will have life long implications for my son. I strongly advice you NOT to hire David Booth as your attorney!

I was the respondent in a divorce case that included inherited property, separate property tracings of a community asset, requests for spousal support, exclusive use of the community home and request for attorneys fees directed at me by my ex spouse. Separation occurred more than 2 years before divorce finalization secondary to almost a year of amiable settlement attempts that ultimately failed with another divorce attorney closer to my home. After that whole attempt failed, I was clear I could not continue to stay with the divorce attorney I was working with so I interviewed 4-5 attorneys to take over the case. I found Brett Wishart through a Google search. From the very first moment of interview and interaction with Mr Wishart, I was absolutely convinced he should be my attorney. I believe it is rare in life to run across someone who is operating smack dab in the middle of their calling in the way that Mr Wishart is. I had considerable angst in choosing an attorney being that I had already spent close to a year and a lot of money trying to finalize a divorce. Mr Wishart somehow combines the very best of a sage advisor with an extremely sharp legal mind. He is focused and efficient in his meetings with you yet you leave with a firm understanding of the plan in place. He has hired those around him in his office with the perfect blend of skills to properly support him in his practice. He KNOWS how to persuade judges to his clients best interests. I found him to ALWAYS be fully and perfectly prepared in court. He was an impressive litigator whose mind was able to track closely with the judge so that if he had to change tactics based on a judge’s sudden leaning, he was agile and skilled in doing so. Opposing him in a courtroom would be very difficult. He is very disarming secondary to his polite and intuitive demeanor along with his commanding courtroom presence. Legal assistance is not inexpensive yet all the attorneys I interviewed would have cost me roughly the same as Mr Wishart. I watched closely to see if there was ever any advantage taken whereby he would upcharge or overcharge and I never saw him do anything like this. Detailed legal defense requires time and is a large investment but saved money by having Mr Wishart on my side. I had 5 to 6 occasions to appear in court as my case included several motions. Prior to each court appearance, I ruminated and agonized over how the ruling would go because I had so much on the line both financially and for the future of my children. Mr Wishart kept me optimistic but never minced words when it came to being realistic that issues could go either way in many areas of my case. At each and every court appearance, I watched as Mr Wishart planned and executed his opening, his arguments and his closings all designed to make sure I got my desired result. He was flawless at knowing when he had to bring in other experts and I always used the ones he advised and was more than pleased in his recommendations. Each time in court, I stood by somewhat amazed as the judge appeared to follow Mr Wishart’s logic and followed his lead down decision trails that were favorable to me.
