I have worked with Dan Hunter for about 4 years on a very complex and dynamic case. The professionalism and accessibility of his office administration make it easy to be in contact with Mr. Hunter. Additionally, Mr. Hunter has a legal support team that is kind, informed and incredibly organized. Our case started as a simple consultation over custody, which grew to a serious criminal/family law case. I am so lucky to have had Mr. Hunter during this most terrible time in my life. The family court system seems to be constructed in a very systematic way and Mr. Hunter understood every expectation, at every turn. He was always prepared himself, honest, forthright and concerned for our best interest and the best interest of my family. I was able to receive a shoulder of a friend, as well as an attorney who knows the process through and through. Mr. Hunter always made himself available for a meeting to thoroughly discuss our case details, court proceedings or just time to put my nervous mind at ease. In this process, I have seen many opposing counsels in action, other attorney’s in their cases, none have had the balance of assertiveness, humility and knowledge as Mr. Hunter. While our case was long and complex, it was a marathon and not a sprint, to which I was the prevailing party. I would highly recommend Mr. Hunter for anybody seeking advice and counsel from a Family Law attorney.

Mr. Hunter helped me through a very difficult divorce. My wife took off to Ohio with our son. Dan immediately went to court and got an order awarding me sole legal and sole physical custody. When my wife still refused to return, he started the process of reporting the matter to the District Attorney. My ex then immediately returned our son to Orange County. At trial, Mr. Hunter successfully prevented the move away and was able to get sanctions against my ex-wife. He and his staff were knowledgeable, courteous and responded promptly to all of my questions and requests. I am grateful he represented me throughout the process. Daniel Hunter and his associates were amazing. The most caring and intelligent team in the business. Always available when I called or emailed ready to help. Truly the best.

Update: This review was posted for my mom's case, she requested I post it because she doesn't have gmail account. ---- Highly incompetent. Extremely greedy; manipulative, dishonest and excessive billing. Morally bankrupt. After one court proceeding, in which Dan was not able to defend me in any way, shape or form, I knew how incompetent he was and I terminated him as my attorney. During my retention of his services, I felt like his retainer was like a sieve, the money just vanished! It wasn't until I met a competent attorney that I fully realized the extent of Dan's dishonesty and incompetence.

Dan let my ex crucify my in court. At my trial, Dan just sat there and let my ex have everything. Not once did he ever say, “I object”. He whispered to me that he would appeal... I later learned you can’t appeal things you don’t object to.
