Peter Francis Locona was able to do something that several other lawyers weren’t able to-get my driving record cleared. I was consulting with different lawyers to see who could help me. Before my scheduled consultation with Mr. Francis Locona, I had given up hope that my case could be won based off what these lawyers were telling me. I decided to contact Mr. Francis Locona and cancel our upcoming consultation. Mr. Francis Locona demonstrated genuine care and compassion by contacting me back, empathically listening to my case, and providing superb legal advice. We developed a plan that restored my hope and resulted in me meeting my goal of cleaning up my driving record. Not because he helped me win my case, which yes was very important, but because he restored my hope that there are good people in this world willing to help out even when they know they won’t receive anything in return. I am very thankful and grateful for my experience with Mr. Peter Iocona throughout what was one of the hardest, scariest, and stressful experiences I have had -- this was my first legal court case ever and had no understanding of many of the matters, but Peter was able to help me throughout the entire experience. He worked with both myself and my family to ease our stress and burdens and worked hard for me to thankfully return to back to my regular life, and for that I am forever thankful for Peter and his team and their work.

When my wife and I hired Peter to defend our adult son in his second DUI case we braced ourselves for a difficult outcome, specifically more jail time. He was honest about the possibilities of that bad outcome and how important our son's behavior would be in obtaining a better result. The case took almost two years to complete because it happened in the midst of the Covid Pandemic when the courts were often dark, but our son did not go to jail. He had to wear an ankle monitor for 60 days under house arrest with an 18 month probationary period which exceeded all of our hopes. Peter knows the law, but also is highly trusted by the judges, prosecutors and probation officers because of his honesty and integrity. This played a major role in getting our son fair treatment in the justice system. More importantly, our son has been sober for over two years, is setup to return to his college studies and has a job! Peter Iocona defended me in a DUI case, first offense. He was very helpful every step of the way and answered any questions I had any time I had them. 5/5 recommend every time. DUIs can be stressful with court, DMV hearings, alcohol classes, personal work problems, etc… Pete knew all the correct information and never steered me the wrong way. Very honest, which is good. You never want a lawyer to sugar coat things and Pete never did. Pete really helped me through a rough patch and made the process easy and understandable.

In late 2021, I found myself charged with misdemeanor criminal battery (242 PC) after defending my family in a dispute over a parking place. I was horrified to learn about the extremely low bar set for the definition of this crime in California, and that I found myself facing this charge for defending my family. I was completely shocked at the lack of concern shown by the police for my version of what happened during my arrest and the potential consequences if I were to be found guilty of the charge made against me. As someone who had never been charged with a criminal offense, I was terrified. Fortunately, I located the SoCal Law Network while using on-line resources to develop a list of potential attorneys. My first call was to Alan Castillo who immediately won me over. His background as a public defender, his education at UCLA and Loyola Marymount Law School, his extensive experience in the Orange County criminal justice system, and his knowledge of California Law had me from the start. I was very fortunate to find Mr. Castillo, and later met his law practice partner, Peter Iocona, who also has a stellar background. In short, I couldn’t have made a better choice with the SoCal Law Network – Mr. Castillo and Mr. Iocona invested the time and effort needed to ensure the best outcome possible for my case. It was clear from the beginning that they both cared deeply and would do anything in their power to help me. Although I feel violated by the arrest and the subsequent amount of time and expense involved – I have zero doubts that my case would have turned out much worse without the support of the SoCal Law Network and I am eternally grateful to Mr. Castillo and Mr. Iocona. Where do I begin after getting my 1st DUI. I felt hopeless, scared, uncertain, and afraid of what life was going to look like in the following months after getting my DUI. It was almost crippling to think about how I was going to do this. I had no clue and didn’t even know where to begin. As anyone would do I started calling around and was referred to Peter. Some good graces must have been on me that day because I had the opportunity to talk to Peter that same day. Little did I know how quickly my life would change. When I had my first call with Peter we spoke for over an hour about my situation and he was kind, compassionate, caring, genuine and I knew I could trust Peter through the process of handling my DUI. Not once did I feel he was counting the time or rushed to get off the phone. After my talk with Peter as much fear as I had, all of that immediately subsided, I found hope and instantaneously knew in my heart that everything was going to be okay. Peter is an anomaly.
