I hired Marc Herbert to help me with my estate plan after the death of my wife. He was very knowledgeable and patient as I asked a lot of questions, while I was still trying to figure out how to manage my wife's estate and plan for the future for our kids' benefit. Mr. Herbert and his associates were professional and accessible even as we handled this process remotely during COVID.

We went to Marc because we did a self help Nolo trust but we were skeptical of it really being as good as a trust from an attorney. Mr Herbert was very honest and did not try to sell us his services. We decided to have him redo our trust and create our other estate documents. The COVID 19 scare slowed us down two months but if there was no scare it would have been done in two weeks. The staff were very friendly and professional. I am recommending Mr. Herbert’s services to my friends and family. The pricing was average and there was never any pressure to up sell.

We had our will and trust done here, it was done efficiently and was very easy because they had witnesses and notaries available so everything could be signed and taken care of in one visit.

I had a previous review (S Mu) where I gave him 5 stars, I wish I could edit it. That was in the beginning of our case. I wish I could give him 0 stars. Apparently he is great at estate planning, but I hired him and was promised a strong litigation lawyer. What he did was despicable. After having a signed "paid in full" contract, he kept bullying me into paying more money. Once I reminded him of our contract, he stated he was going to withdraw from the case and would have to turn over all of our attorney client communication to the opposing side. He did NOTHING in the year we had him. He lied about filing subpoenas, I found out he never filed 2 subpoenas he said he did. He was very upset I wouldn't settle for 1/5 of what was owed to the trust, all because he charged me "too little" in the beginning and wanted to be done. He talked a big talk at first, but when he realized he should have charged more, he was horrible. Everything he did was against my/the trust best interest. NEVER let him go to litigation for you. He is a wimp, no back bone and a coward at the first sign of a fight. The WORST for litigation. He just needs to stay in his office and plan estates and never fight for one in court.

I was trying to deal with a trust issue and it was a mess. No lawyer would touch it. Marc not only took on the case, he is doing an amazing job at getting this settled as quickly as possible. He is going above and beyond!
