Christmas is one of the most exciting seasons of the year. However, mine turned out to be a traumatic one. My story happened last December 24, 2022, it was Saturday and I planned on visiting my Family. I was very excited to visit them, everything was prepared already. I packed the things I will bring to my parent's house and drove myself there. I was driving in Modesto CA, and I was on a freeway. Suddenly another vehicle cut across 2 lanes across the traffic and hit my vehicle on the right front side. During the high impact, my body was strongly jolted inside my vehicle. My head and chest were hit on the steering wheel. I was dazed and confused, and I blacked out for a few seconds. It was horrible and I was disoriented. I wasn't able to get out of the car immediately. I stayed and calmed myself. Then I called 911 and notified them of the incident. After a few minutes, the police arrived and investigated the scene. They took pictures of them and a police report was filed. There was no ambulance arriving at the scene. After the investigation, I went home and I did not seek any medical help. The same day of the collision, I was already experiencing pain. It worsened during night time. I suffered from chest pain which hurt all day, lower back pain, neck pain, and as well as headaches. I was worried about the pain and I was also depressed about what happened. As I was scrolling and searching through my Facebook account, I was looking for a personal injury law firm. I was lucky that I found the Beverly Law Firm. I messaged them and they responded the following day, they obtained the information needed for my case. Then they have started referring me to some various medical facilities. I had my first referral to the chiropractor facility which I have attended for several months. I also had a referral to the pain management facility and I was examined via telephone. They advised me to have an MRI of my cervical and lumbar spine, so I went to the Precise Imaging and had it done. On May 15, 2023, I underwent an MRI of my cervical and lumbar spine, after that I sent the results to the pain management and a treatment plan was made. They recommended me for a trial of trigger point Injection to the lower back, to start acupuncture treatment at a frequency of two times a week, I was also advised to stop my chiropractic treatment, and I was prescribed a diclofenac gel for the pain. In addition, I also went to the Select Physical Therapy where I had talked with an Orthopedic for the procedure, had physical therapy, and sports medicine. I have done everything that was referred and recommended by these facilities, and eventually I was discharged from all the treatments and benefited very well from it. Although I benefited well and was happy with the treatment given to me. I still can't deny that this incident was a traumatic one. My injuries had developed depression and I was totally drained during those times. I was worried about the pain and on how to overcome the struggles that I was in. I even experience abnormal speech, that when I talk for a long period of time and I get very tired, then suddenly I start to mumble/have trouble continuing talking. My sleeping routine was very poor also, due to my chest and back pain. I was also getting nightmares due to the accident almost daily. Additionally, I also experience sensitivity to light most especially when it's really sunny and I get headaches. Even up to this day, reminiscing from this incident hurts me a lot and I am still trying my best to move on from the emotional, mental, and physical pain. I am als writing this to express my gratitude to Nataly, Gustavo, Michael, and the rest of their team. Thank you for referring me to these amazing Doctors and for aiding me when I needed help. You have given me so much courage to fight from this traumatic incident. I thank you for the settlement and closing my case in time. All your hard work pays off! It takes time, courage, and patience before you can finally recover from what is called post-traumatic stress disorder. Similar to my situation when I had my car accident last December 03, 2023, a few weeks before the Holidays. It was Sunday evening and I was traveling down a 2-lane road. I observed another vehicle pulled out of a driveway from the right side. I tried to avoid it but I did not have enough time to stop and impact the other vehicle. I don't know but I ended up in a parking lot. The moment our vehicle collided, I felt my body strongly jolted inside my car, and I hit my face on the airbags upon deployment. I felt dizzy and scared. When I got out of the vehicle, a witness came to me and told me that he saw the vehicle that hit me take off. However, the vehicle at fault didn't get very far due to the car damage. So we immediately notified the police and it took them a while before they were able to the scene. When they arrived, they instantly identified us through our ID, and a police report was made. I went home after that. I had suffered personal injuries due to this incident. I experience a slight ringing in both ears, left-side neck pain that radiates down to my shoulder, and back right shoulder pain. On the same day of the accident, at night time my grandmother and I went to the hospital. I had my initial examination at the hospital, an X-ray was obtained, and was prescribed pain medication. However, as the days went by the pain worsened. Then my grandmother took the opportunity to consult the Beverly Law Firm, they also helped them when they had a car accident with my grandfather. They called us and I told them that I made a claim with my insurance but the driver at fault had already made a claim/hired an Attorney and lied about the incident, however, we responded to the claim insurance personnel that we had a witness to prove my claims. They told me not to worry since they were going to help me settle my case and my injuries, then I sent them a retainer, and I told them that I was too young and wanted to talk it over with my parents before signing the contract. Then I started my treatment with a chiropractic treatment where I was advised to attend approximately 3 times per week for 8 weeks. I have attended the treatments and was recommended for an MRI of all the body parts, I also had an appointment with the pain management facility, an injection, and future surgery if needed. I was just 17 years old when I had my incident and it was horrifying. I was in a lot of pain, and discomfort, and I experienced headaches/vertigo. And I was very stressed with the other party that they lied about the incident, for me, it was not fair. Fortunately, I had a witness who could prove what happened. I am also grateful to my parents and grandparents for being so supportive and giving their advice in recovering from this incident. My case is still under Beverly Law Firm's supervision, but so far my experience with them was great. They were efficient and kept actively communicating to me as their client. They're one of the best attorney's offices. 8 days before Christmas Eve, I was involved in a car accident. I feel sad and devastated. During that day, at around 1:18 in the afternoon, while I was driving, and was stopped at a red light. All of a sudden my car was rear-ended from behind. Due to the strong impact, I hit my head on the headrest. I was totally surprised and I felt dizzy and confused. The moment I felt okay, I got out of my car and talked to the driver who hit me. We exchanged information using our ID and settled on our own. We even took a photo of our car that was damaged. My car was at a total loss and I was more devastated and stressed out thinking about the expenses needed for my car damages. Therefore, there was no police report filed and no ambulance arrived at the scene I went home after the collision hoping that I would right. Due to this horrifying incident that happened last December 16, 2021, I sustained personal injuries and suffered from constant headaches, and pain in my lower back, chest, both legs, and both shoulders. The following day, I was referred to the Beverly Law Firm. When they called, I was asked about the incident and I elaborated everything. After that, they told me about the possible settlement and let me sign a retainer. Then, I got a referral to a chiropractic and pain management facility. I started with my treatment at the chiropractic facility where I had my first evaluation and underwent various types of therapy. This includes infrared, massage, chiropractic adjustments, manual therapy, hot/cold packs, etc. After a few weeks of attending this kind of treatment, it gives me temporary relief. Afterward, I also went to the pain management facility and had another examination. However, I had a problem with Dr. Patel's office so I asked my case manager to switch to another Doctor and I received a referral to comprehensive pain and sport rehabilitation. Then I was recommended for an MRI of my left knee, cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine, and a possibility of getting EMG nerve conduction studies for the lower back and for the radicular symptoms into the lower extremities. Upon visual inspection of the cervical spine, cervical posture is noted to be well‑preserved with no splinting. I also had an examination with a neurologist and they found out that everything was normal and intact. I was suggested for a PRP injection, but I refused not to because I have allergies to some type of medicine. I was totally satisfied with the therapy or treatment that I have been receiving because I received a great benefit from it even without the injection. Life has never been that easy after the incident. My pain injuries radiate from my head down to my legs, it feels like a tingling sensation. Every day, I felt nauseous, my body was shaking, and my hands were clammy. I couldn't even sleep due to the pain and had to constantly take pain medication to help with my pain. It's very troublesome doing my daily activities such as sitting, bending, and lifting my arms, and I always get flashbacks from the incident. It was difficult to recover from this incident even though it happened 2 years ago already. But I feel so much better now. My experience with the Beverly Law Firm was outstanding. My case manager Tania and my attorney, Michael, gave my case all the time and attention that was needed to be successful. I just want to let you know that you guys do a really good job.
