I heard about Stephen through a friend. He represented her on a child custody/support case and I was eager to meet with him. (He wasn't able to get her any support for that case in court) I consulted with Stephen regarding an upcoming child support hearing and I was left feeling alone and embarrassed. I understood that my ex is not rich and therefore there wasn't much to fight on (that's what Stephen said) but in these situations you want to feel like someone's in YOUR corner. Hence why you reach out to someone with the knowledge to win for you... which is what I thought I did. Unfortunately, I paid the consultation fee of $150 just for him to tell me that there wasn't anything HE could do because more than likely the current support would be lowered. He advised me to file a response and that's it. I ended up going to the hearing by MYSELF and was able to get the support amount increased by MYSELF.
