Laura Butuke seems like a good lawyer and she partially is which is why I'm not giving her just one star. But when she had an opportunity to do some legal leg-work to ensure that our parents' house was passed from my father to my mother without reassessment after he died, she instead took the opportunity to get the house reassessed at market value and added to probate along with all of my father's other assets. I've asked multiple attorneys after the fact and they have all said the same thing: this could have been avoided. Conveniently for her and her only, this added greatly to the lawyer fees that she charged us at the end of probate. This also means that we will now be paying $7,000 more per year in property tax for the rest of the time that we choose to own this house. Really greedy and sneaky BS. I do not recommend her services.

Laura provided invaluable information about options we had no idea were available for my father (even after tons of research ourselves), and the steps to make them happen. Laura and Weylon continue to provide support to ensure my father gets the care he needs. If you are overwhelmed, give them a call. It is well worth it!

Excellent attorney. Very knowledgeable of trust and probate law. Very pleasant to work with. Always goes the extra mile. My wife and I recently wanted to create a living trust, along with new wills, powers of attorney, and health care directives. We chose Maria based upon the very many positive reviews she received on numerous websites. We couldn't possibly be more pleased with our choice and Maria. She is exceptionally knowledgeable of probate, trust, and property law. Even more so, I had dozens of questions concerning the details of the above documents. She responded to my many emails usually the same day and with reassuring and understandable information. She truly goes the extra mile. Most of all, she is extremely pleasant to work with. I would recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone.

I spoke to Waylon about the firm and booked an appointment to see Laura. A hour before the meeting Weylon called to confirm, that was a red flag that I ignored. Laura explained what the approval process was and that it could take sometime to get approval given my families situation. I decided to become a client of the firm and sent in my retainer and notified the firm. When the check did not arrive I got an email asking about the check, there was some back and forth. Once the check was received and cashed I heard nothing. I called and asked for status, I emailed and asked for a call back so I could understand what I should expect. Low and behold I got an approval letter and wasn’t sure what to do - was that it was anything else required? I sent another email no response, finally frustrated I called and told the receptionist that I was very frustrated that no one has called or emailed me back. After the phone call I got an email from the firm congratulating me on the approval. Once they got the check there was no communication. The follow up it terrible and unprofessional. I’ve had better service at McDonalds.

Elder Care Law is a top notch firm for helping my mom in her application for Medi-cal. It is not easy to apply Medi-cal at her age. However, the Laura and her team at Elder Care law were very thorough with their work and Weylon guided me thru the process and step by step to achieved our goal. I would highly recommend their team!

Great service and people, patient and thorough. I'm not a huge client but they treat me as if I am, taking the time to make sure that I understand every detail in the contracts I need (Neiloo in particular), and that everything that protects my interests is covered. Good evening everyone, the reason why I'm writing this review for Maria is I found her just by googling I trust lawyer close to my job. She was the first one that popped up and I'm so thankful that she did. I scheduled my consultation for me and my sister and trust me, we've been through a few lawyers that say they couldn't help us go over my parents trust and they couldn't help us and when I say that I believe that she is really passionate and very helpful with the whole will and trust. I couldn't believe how thorough she was and very patient about going over my parents will and trust. I told her at the end of our consultation that I really appreciate her really helping me and my sister and I just want to tell her again and again. How much me and my sister appreciates her?

I’d highly recommend Maria for anyone needing help with Trusts, Estates and/or Probate. I wasted 2 years with unhelpful, almost inept, attorneys until I found Ms Jonsson who immediately understood my problem with tangled/conflicting Trusts (incorrectly amended) 2 Estates and Probates. She explained clearly the legal path forward, prepared required documents at each step and kept me in the loop as things progressed through the Courts. Because of the complexity it took another 2 years to resolve matters but with Maria’s guidance and advice those years, unlike the first 2, I understood and felt comfortable with the legal process. Along the way, Maria wrote several assertive letters on my behalf. This attorney is a force – deep knowledge of the law, strong writing and communication skills, billing that’s reasonable and transparent and, for me, it was like working with a close friend who had my best interests at heart.

Laura and her team was amazing. She was able to meet with us in person quicker then most attorneys we contacted. She went through everything clearly. Weylon did an excellent job of helping my sister and I get all the necessary paperwork and statments on a timely fashion. When we hit hiccups, he was quick to figure ways to navigate getting all the appropriate information and submit them within the time frame. I highly recomend them.

Daniela is very professional and responsive. The process was completely stress free. She kept us informed throughout. I Absolutely recommend her services. The only negative has nothing to do with Daniela's services or firm. The building is a multi-use office building who all share a main receptionist. If you need to physically go to the building, the receptionist will meet you with hostility. Maybe she hates her job but that shouldn't be displayed to the clientele. She should should be reminded she won't lose money for being kind.
