Laura made the process of creating a living trust easy. She made us comfortable through every step because she's confident and knowledgeable. I recommend all of my friends and family to Laura. She's worth the drive to Orange County (if you live in LA)!

Laura and her firm made a daunting process understandable and even enjoyable. We approached Laura Meier to help us with our estate planning. We were new to the state of California and had no references for a estate planning lawyer. What was particularly helpful was that Laura walked us through the process and had us tackle the items to be resolved in a approachable manner. Knowing that protecting our children was the most important thing for us, Laura first worked with us to establish guardians and backups and helped us understand what each party would do so that we could explain it to our family. Laura took the time to understand our financial goals and structured our Will and Trust documents to reflect those, and ensure our legacy was maintained and our children provided for. Laura helped us contact all of our financial institutions to fund our trust and provided us with specific task lists that kept us honest and made the process much easier to handle. Lastly, Laura offered us a very special service, a family interview documenting our wishes and desires for our children, archived with all of our legal documents to act as a guide for our children and their guardians and also to capture our feelings after going through this process. I always viewed estate planning as a necessity and knew we needed to get around to it. Laura stressed the importance and helped us really own the decisions we were making. many of the items we had to consider were very serious and these discussions can make you feel very mortal. Laura always gave us the time and space to determine our wishes and while she would offer advice and direction, she was never pushy. What continues to strike me is that Laura is a parent first and lawyer second, the perspective she brings is relate-able and comforting. I would recommend her to anyone and would continue to use her services.

Working with Laura was very easy. She kept me informed and brought everything necessary to our meetings. This eliminated the need for multiple unnecessary meetings. As a single adoptive parent, being prepared for an emergency was very important to me. Accidentally finding Laura Meier was like hitting the lottery! Laura is one of the most caring and thorough people I have ever met, which is not the typical description of an attorney that automatically comes to my mind. From the very first session, I felt she was truly committed to MY wishes and MY peace of mind. It was obvious that she was not someone who cranks out “one size fits all” forms for a fee. Being a mother herself, she was aware of many more considerations and options to review. Her questionnaire and personal guidance helped me to make clear choices in every area that would affect my 9 year old son, should something unexpected happen to me. The end product and my overall experience with Laura GREATLY exceeded any of my expectations (even now, a year later). We had a wonderful experience working with the Meier Law Firm on our family trust.
