We recently had an on-line catfishing scam involving snapchat, instagram where a person was trying to extort money from us. We were at a loss of what to do to handle this situation. They started working on the case that evening and was able to send out a cease and desist letter right away the next day and told us the proper steps in dealing with the situation. We had contacted the FBI about this matter and they said that this was the first time that they heard someone was able to send a cease and desist letter so quickly.
