BILL HALSEY is been around for a decade. He gives a free consultation without looking at the clock ticking on you and a free evaluation of your case right there and then. I've known and used Bill Halsey for 20 years and I am so blessed to have known him. And even more blessed to have added more lawyers in the family his son Lionel and daughter in law Amy. So refreshing. I have used about 6 attorneys over the past 42 years in business. William says it like it is. I hired another attorney in Oceanside for my divorce who did nothing more then drain my bank account. I have used William Halsey 3 times .He will not waste your time or his. He is what everyone really wants from an attorney. No BS, right to the point laying out choices for you. If retained, be prepared for very limited contact with Mr. Halsey. I mean VERY LITTLE. I've spoken more to his secretary about legal issues and matters regarding my case then I did with him. He doesn't respond to emails or phone calls niether does his staff, save the secretary who is obviously limited on the information she can provide. I don't know if it's cause he thinks he's to good to or what, (although him being a prior Marine, I'm not surprised at his selfish and cocky attitude). Seemed kind and dedicated to my cause until he received his retainer (typical). Do your research. Hire an attorney who is going to give a d**n about your personal issues and case, instead of going through the motions and leaving you misinformed and feeling like nothing positive has occurred after a year plus of going back and forth to court with him showing up late and unprepared. I recall my second court date where Mr.Halsey was running late (of course i wasn't informed I'm just a client no big deal) just sitting there while the commissioner and my ex wifes attorney poked fun at Mr. Halsey. I sought other advice and counsel but simply couldn't afford it. I will say that every other attorney I explained my situation to chuckled when I told them I had retained Mr. Halsey. One even told me, "Wow goodluck, you should've done better research son". Says alot coming from your peers I think. DO YOUR RESEARCH! MR. Halsey was found guilty of misappropriating client funds a few years back and was restricted from practicing law for over a year. This was brought to my attention by another attorney who told me to do my research next time. Be mindful folks! Good attorneys respond to their clients. Good attorneys make an effort to keep their clients informed. Good attorneys fight for their clients wishes. Good attorneys dedicate themselves to the cases they accept( which doesn't mean over booking yourself just for money). This office, all except for the secretary who I've heard the paralegals bashing countless times when she's away is a total joke and disgrace. I wish to God I had done better research. Anyone in search of legal advice and counsel stay away at all cost.
