I am a relatively new young professional working in finance who previously worked for an international financial services firm providing investment management services to ultra-high net worth individuals. I was terminated without cause and presented with a severance package. Raj reviewed their proposal and determined that I was owed substantial backpay due to mis-classification. This included overtime pay and premium pay due to missed breaks and working well past closing to stay on top of workload. Raj also determined that my fellow associates were likely mis-classified as well, which involved a potential PAGA action (similar, but different to a class action). Raj expertly negotiated my severance package and carefully leveraged the potential for PAGA action, *****ultimately resulting in a 300% increase in my severance***** and avoiding a lawsuit that could have been publicly searchable to future employers. Throughout the process, Raj was as professional as he was amicable and as patient as he was knowledgeable. He satisfied my procedural and even academic curiosities about relevant laws. I felt strongly educated and represented. He also wisely knew how to manage his admittedly new relationship with opposing counsel, avoiding unnecessary escalation and breakdown in negotiations. He knows how to manage risk and is very level-headed. He is backed by mentors and consultants that he does not hesitate to call upon as needed. Raj took my case and bought it to a successful resolution when my previous attorney dropped my case and other attorneys would not take it. PLEASE, FOR YOUR OWN GOOD, DO NOT USE THIS FIRM. All they want is to get a signed contract so they can put a lien on your case. THEY WILL NOT FIGHT FOR YOU. They abandoned my case part way through but left me with a lien, even though they have done NOTHING. I actually heard one of Winters and Banks attorneys conspiring against me with the others parties representation. Workers comp is a corrupt system...they probably get kickbacks. Good luck speaking to an attorney! When you do get one, it's a different person every time. Unprofessional and utterly incompetent!
