Jim is there for you when an unfortunate situation occurs. My family gave him a call when I was in trouble. He was honest about the kind of trouble I was in, the uphill battle we had with the DA, and advice to help my case. He was reliable and present at all my court dates. Court days are some of the longest days of your life. I don't know how to emphasize how important that is if you are incarcerated for your lawyer to show up. I witnessed many unreliable lawyers for other inmates. With prayer and Jim's expertise we resolved my case with results I was happy with. He obtained good results for my brother as well. This Attorney was appointed to Homicide case and allowed his client to take a deal for 17 yrs with 2 strikes for 1 crime and add charges with absolutely NO evidence to increase exposure (which is illegal) all without showing him a line of discovery. Mr Grier was not shown his discovery after asking over and over. Once he received his discovery he had been coached to take a deal and was in state prison. Upon reading his discovery, sent to him by an advocacy group, it was very obvious that this case would have been a no brainer to a 1st year law student to take to trial. Mr Jon Doe is innocent and steps are being taken to hold this attorney accountable for inadequate representation and a violation of his oath to zealously represent his client. How do you allow your client to take a deal for a crime he did not commit and allow the DA to add charges with not 1 stitch of physical or evidence as well as allow the Prosecution to assess two strikes for 1 single act. Mr Jon Doe has been released after 17 yrs for a crime he did not commit. Justice will prevail steps are being taken.

I can only say that it was God that led us to Mr. Gass. I found myself in a situation I could have never imagined to be. I contacted Mr. Gass from a Google search and after one conversation I knew he was the man for the job. He was so knowledgeable and experienced that even while he offered hope, he also prepared me for what most likely would happen, and he was always spot on. He was able to negotiate a plea deal lowering a felony to a misdemeanor with no jail time. Had I been able to afford taking it to trial, I have no doubt he would have won there too. He negotiated the best possible outcome given the circumstances I was facing. But his work did not end there. 3 years later I have still been in contact with Mr. Gass and he has always been gracious enough to respond. All my questions and uncertainties. If I could give Mr. James Gass more stars I would. I highly recommend him as your attorney. Mr. Gass has a great presence, he is compassionate, caring and he knows his job very well. My son was in a lot of trouble Mr. Gass came highly recommended and he lived up to the referral and some. He was able to help my son with the best outcome possible and I am very happy. What started with a life-shattering 5am phone call from our son, in Mr. Gass' hands, turned into a bigger-than-life event! We came to Mr. Gass recommended by one of his colleagues (who was too close to our family to comfortably represent us), as a mentor and one of the best attorney's in the area!
