When you're aggrieved in a legal situation, you want to feel like you have representation opposing counsel will respect and take seriously, that he or she will actually merit that estimation, and that your counsel will be accessible and friendly toward you. If any of these qualities isn't there, it can be a problem. Calvin Chang represented me in a successful settlement outcome with a former employer, and demonstrated these qualities. I was a complex litigation paralegal for some years, and later worked for an employment law firm; I can say, having worked on the inside, that he is an uncommon attorney. Mr. Calvin Chang was a fantastic advocate for me. I contacted him regarding a complaint against my employer and he was tremendously kind, patient and prompt in addressing all my concerns. On countless occasions I emailed Mr. Chang a question(s) and he always responded immediately. Calvin successfully represented me as the plaintiff in several cases of discrimination. He is experienced in matters involving civil rights (among others) and has an in-depth understanding of the law surrounding them. Earlier in the year I was wrongfully defamed and terminated by my employer. I discussed my case with three separate lawyers, all of whom declined to take my case.
