Divorce is not always a smooth process and can be challenging and emotional. Two days before I was to appear in court for my divorce I found myself too emotional and needing someone who had the knowledge and understood family law as well as my situation. I met with attorney Jillian-Duggen Herd And immediately felt the weight of the world lifted off my shoulders. I was able to focus on being a mom, providing for me and my children and adjusting to this new life as I knew it. Overtime my circumstances took several turns, from domestic violence, restraining order, supervised visitation and trying to determine what exactly was in the best interest of our three children. Jillian‘s knowledge, honesty, professionalism, focus and pure understanding has been a security for me through these tough times. I highly recommend this firm. Jillian Duggan-Herd represented me in my military divorce and while she is very well-versed in divorce law and is also one of the top rated attorneys in California, the part of her representation of me that meant the most was, she gave me peace of mind. I was blindsided by my former spouse who abruptly abandoned me, our 23 year marriage and our children in California where I had no family (we were there on his orders) and found myself completely alone and in dire straits. Jillian took my case and from the very beginning she took control of everything legal related and in turn, took those worries off my mind. One of the most challenging aspects of my divorce (for me) was the broken trust I felt when my husband abandoned us. I was CONSUMED with emotion and because of it, I simply could not think logically. Lastly, I want to note that, while the attorneys at Cage and Miles are proficient in every aspect of divorce law, they are especially adept in military divorce law. It was so difficult to find a civilian lawyer who actually understood the nuances of a military divorce. Jillian was actually the second divorce attorney I hired after having to terminate my previous lawyer for failure to perform. Jillian knows her stuff. I feel so fortunate to have found Jillian and Cage and Miles. They took a messy divorce and cleaned it up quite nicely for me.

My experience with Steven Brumer was excellent. Though I'm not personally in bankruptcy, I'm connected to one, and the situation is quite complicated. I was referred to Steven, thinking I'd need an advocate. He gave me a very good "education" on how the system works, and ideas on how to navigate it. It was that advice that empowered me to begin the process myself - something I would have been afraid to do before - and as it turned out, I was successful on my own. Thank you so much, Steven!
