During an uncertain time I was relieved to discover The Gould Firm. I presented an issue in which I was experiencing, and E. Gould contacted me promptly to discuss the matter over the phone as COVID-19 requirements were being adhered to. During our discussion I felt as though I was talking to someone I had known for years. Services provided were very professional and easy to understand for a simple plumber. I would definitely recommend this firm if someone was honestly done wrong and seeking a resolution as I was. Sound advice at reasonable rates. I've known him for more than 5 years and I've dealt with numerous lawyers over several decades for business and personal matters. He won't take a case unless there is a reasonable expectation of success. Many others charge big hourly rates when they know there's little chance of success. He won't charge if he can't help. (It turns out a negative review was from a client who paid nothing.)

The people who gave good reviews must have been ok with settling after being told that their case wasn’t that strong or some other bad advice - run as fast as you can people - a good attorney specializes in one area of the law and knows everything about it... a “Shyster” aka: Evan Gould specializes in settling so he can pay his rent. He’s got charisma but when you sign his contingency contract you might as well forget any hope of doing anything but settling quickly... it’s hard to find an attorney I know but keep going - Ps/ I can barely wait to read his condescending response but you can bet it will be full of veiled threats and innuendo that I had no case even though he knows what happened after I found a good attorney!

I was let go by my company after many years of service. I was offered a severance package, but to get it I would have to sign away every conceivable right I might have in the future against the company for any reason. Now in my early sixties and facing a challenge at finding equivalent pay in another position, I wondered if I had any cause of action against the company, or whether I might be able to negotiate for an improved severance package. I called several law offices with specialties in employment law, discrimination, and related topics. Some wanted to just sit down with me and review my documents on the fly with no preparation. Mr. Gould's assistant told me Mr. Gould would not only review the materials I had ahead of time, but would perform research on the company before sitting down with me to discuss my options. On top of that, his rate was competitive. On that basis I committed to hiring Mr. Gould. When I spoke to Mr. Gould, he asked a number of relevant questions to make sure he had a clear understanding of my situation. We discussed whether I had cause for an action against the company and whether I should negotiate for a better severance package. On Mr. Gould's advice I prepared a letter to the company, and Mr. Gould reviewed it for me. The company responded with an improved offer, but not what I had hoped for. Once again I sought Mr. Gould's counsel, and once again went back to the company with a counter proposal. In the end I had a package that was worth significantly more than the original offer. Having Mr. Gould on my side gave me the confidence to negotiate. For me, hiring him was the right thing to do, and I recommend him without reservation to anyone in a similar situation.

Absolutely amazing experience! When my employer terminated my employment, I found myself in very difficult situation as the employer was refusing to pay the severance that was outlined my employment contract. They cited several legal loopholes, and were determined not to pay. I attempted to resolve the issue myself with my former employer, but very quickly became overwhelmed by their corporate attorneys.
