"I was arrested for a DUI after the CHP told me to start and move my car at the side of the road after I already called AAA that took 2 hours to get to me with my car's flat tire. The main CHP officer tried to change my answers that I gave him and was rude and very unclear with his directions. I was referred to DUI Defense Attorney Marc Pelta of San Francisco. Mr. Pelta met with me after hours and thoroughly explain to me my rights and how he would defend me. Unfortunately, I did not hire Pelta Law ASAP to defend me for the DMV hearing which I should have had. Pelta explained that he uses the DMV hearing to help in the case for DUI offense. I hired Mr. Pelta and he fought the case tooth and nail for every possible piece of discovery and even got some former CHP officers to help us out with the case. I was facing a first DUI with an enhancement for a BAC of .15.  The DA would not budge from a first DUI offer, which carries a hefty fine. I wanted the dry-reckless, but realized with that "high BAC number", it’d be very difficult to get. Marc fought my case thoroughly at a motion to suppress hearing and explained that it would give me a better chance to win the case at a jury trial than at a motion to suppress hearing. After Mr. Pelta filed two motions for me, the DA made an offer of a wet & reckless with only 2 years probation, no community service or jail time. As a struggling, working college student and about to start my career program; I decided that it would be better to save money since trial is very expensive and just take the wet-reckless offer that Mr. Pelta obtained for me after 8 months of litigation in the Fremont Courthouse since the DA refused to give me that offer all along. Mr. Pelta told me that if I decided to go to trial that he would aggressively fight for me and that we had a better chance of winning but there are no guarantees for a result in court unfortunately. He told me that if I decided to take the DA's deal, that he got for me then he would support it. I took the deal and I am content with my decision. Thank you so much Marc for all your help. I am truly grateful. Marc Pelta is beyond knowledgeable and a superb DUI Defense Attorney. I would highly recommend Marc to anyone looking for a lawyer and especially to all my friends and family!

I was charged with misdemeanor Domestic Violence in Napa, even though it was a lie and it was my ex's word against mine. My dad found attorney Marc Pelta and we hired him after we met in-person. We decided to hire him because of his experience both in Napa as a criminal defense lawyer and also because of his background as a former Deputy District Attorney where he told us he prosecuted many similar kinds of cases. Marc got me a good deal -- after the DA did not want to give the one I wanted. I did not want to go to trial despite the fact that Marc made it affordable to do so because I wanted to move on with my life. In the end, Marc got me the deal I wanted. Even though I could not afford Mr. Pelta when I met with him, he agreed to hold the discounted price open for me until I was able to gather the funds. I was also pleased that Marc had experienced both defending and prosecuting DUI, and also, that he did not judge me. He let me know that he needed to represent me in both the DMV and Court aspects of the case, even after I told him that I was prepared to represent myself with the DMV hearing. After I got the Public Defender, Marc took over. I have not seen how the case has turned out yet, but so far I am very pleased with Marc's work.

We love Marc. He was supportive, offered us insights on how to move forward in a positive manner, and was instrumental guiding us through a difficult time with our daughter and CPS. Unfortunately, our daughter made some bad decisions with the help of her friends and made some false accusations of child abuse against me and my husband to get out of trouble. We did not know what to do or even where to go because this baseless accusation came out of nowhere in response to some privileges that we took away from her and some new rules we made in our home. Although it was only her word against ours, her two false accusations (after the first accusation was dealt with), she and CPS/HSA kept us plenty busy dealing with the back-to-back investigations that never seemed to end. I decided to hire him to defend us in this juvenile dependency matter that was ultimately not filed with the Court because of his experience. Marc was hired on behalf of a friend who was on the receiving end of a civil restraining order. Despite our limited resources and time Marc appeared for a continuance. Marc guided us through the process with flying colors. The great part about Marc was his steady support throughout the process. On the day of trial the petitioning party was a no show. Case dismissed!
