I was charged by the San Francisco District Attorney with 8 felony counts in a White Collar criminal case. I was facing at least 8 years in prison, if convicted. On the second court appearance, criminal defense attorney Marc Pelta resolved my case for only misdemeanors! No jail. Just a fine with community service and probation. If you want an excellent criminal defense attorney in California then I highly recommend Marc Pelta.

Marc provided on-your-feet thinking and quick responses to any challenges offered by opposing counsel and pretty much pulled my rear out of the fire. Marc is personable and will explain pretty much in detail everything that happened after court so you as the plaintiff or defendant aren't in the dark as to what just transpired. He seems to have a lot of experience with the nuances of the court system that would be completely lost on anyone without representation that would otherwise sound your death knell in court. Trust me, this guy is good and very thorough in his representation. Also very cool to chitchat with after everything's said and done. Worth the money.

I was facing a Failure to Appear and driving on a suspended license in a court located far away from me. The fine was a few thousand dollars, I was innocent and it was a complicated problem. "I was arrested for a DUI after the CHP told me to start and move my car at the side of the road after I already called AAA that took 2 hours to get to me with my car's flat tire. The main CHP officer tried to change my answers that I gave him and was rude and very unclear with his directions. I was referred to DUI Defense Attorney Marc Pelta of San Francisco. Mr. Pelta met with me after hours and thoroughly explain to me my rights and how he would defend me. Unfortunately, I did not hire Pelta Law ASAP to defend me for the DMV hearing which I should have had. Pelta explained that he uses the DMV hearing to help in the case for DUI offense. I hired Mr. Pelta and he fought the case tooth and nail for every possible piece of discovery and even got some former CHP officers to help us out with the case. I was facing a first DUI with an enhancement for a BAC of .15.  The DA would not budge from a first DUI offer, which carries a hefty fine. I wanted the dry-reckless, but realized with that "high BAC number", it’d be very difficult to get. Marc fought my case thoroughly at a motion to suppress hearing and explained that it would give me a better chance to win the case at a jury trial than at a motion to suppress hearing. After Mr. Pelta filed two motions for me, the DA made an offer of a wet & reckless with only 2 years probation, no community service or jail time. As a struggling, working college student and about to start my career program; I decided that it would be better to save money since trial is very expensive and just take the wet-reckless offer that Mr. Pelta obtained for me after 8 months of litigation in the Fremont Courthouse since the DA refused to give me that offer all along. Mr. Pelta told me that if I decided to go to trial that he would aggressively fight for me and that we had a better chance of winning but there are no guarantees for a result in court unfortunately. He told me that if I decided to take the DA's deal, that he got for me then he would support it. I took the deal and I am content with my decision. Thank you so much Marc for all your help. I am truly grateful. Marc Pelta is beyond knowledgeable and a superb DUI Defense Attorney. I would highly recommend Marc to anyone looking for a lawyer and especially to all my friends and family!

I was charged with misdemeanor Domestic Violence in Napa, even though it was a lie and it was my ex's word against mine. My dad found attorney Marc Pelta and we hired him after we met in-person.
