READ THIS REVIEW! I have no Ill feeling toward Chris his consultation was great it gave me a new line of hope when all else was hopeless so for that I am grateful. I was in a place ready to throw in the towel but I had renewed faith after the consult.. (this may not apply to everyone but if you have a high profile case continue reading).. That being said I think I and/or the family could have been guided so much more efficiently. There were many questions left un answered, additionally I feel his communication with my husband as a client wasn’t as thorough as it could have been. There was definitely a feeling of “take the plea so I can get an easy way out” get paid without any research, additional outlets of references or a trial. Many many things unexplained and very rushed no options.. pre trial was treated as “unimportant” when in fact later on I learned through a different lawyer, that it was.. he was late to court dates.. he scheduled the trial very very early on the calendar, when he was given the opportunity to schedule it further out. Given the complicity of the case, this would have given him more time for preparation for trial, which if a client in the same position knows how important time is for a complicated case they would understand. Not only that but I basically pleaded him for any other options and was told he didn’t have anymore time to discuss after 15 min and that if my husband didn’t take the plea he would die in prison then I was left in a room crying my eyes out. I would describe it as very cold and almost heartless.. He actually asked for us to pay a remaining balance beforehand as if there were something anticipated that I wasn’t aware of, and sure enough there was. This review is not to bring any malice toward his practice it is only to give any future clients perspective. If you look at most reviews they are about consultation, so I would say you will save time and money exploring as many options as you can even if you are desperate even if you have little hope, DO NOT SETTLE..DO YOUR RESEARCH, because it may cost you money and time that can potentially make or break your case. The Morales Law Firm is one of the most experienced San Francisco law firms for criminal cases. The best thing about Chris is his ability to explain things to clients so they understand the options. The next best thing is the sheer friendliness and length of time he has worked in San Francisco's Hall of Justice and the other SF Bay Area courts, where he knows the judges and district attorneys on a first named basis. Christopher is a great attorney. He covered all the details of the case, discussed the possibilities, worst case outcome, and the strength (and lack of) the case, so there were no surprises or false promises. He’s a lawyer with a great reputation, both by other attorneys and the courts. When arguing the case, he was clam, collected, and did great cross-examination that ultimately unraveled the case. He ended up getting our case dismissed, and helped us avoid the nerve wracking experience of a trial.
