As a Realtor, it's very important to me to have attorneys who I can turn to when my clients or I need time-sensitive advice or help. Julia Wobbe is wonderful! She is knowledgable, trustworthy, and has given me great advice when I call upon her for help with any of my real estate transactions.

Tobener Ravenscroft recently helped my partner and I out in a situation in which our new landlords tried to impose a change of tenancy terms to our lease, and basically add on a term barring us from having a sub tenant without an adjustment to our rental rate. As we are in a rent controlled unit, and our original lease states nothing about subletting, we knew this to be an unlawful, unilateral, and material change to our lease, and not allowed under certain civil codes in the SF rent ordinance. After attempting on our own to resolve the issue by letting their lawyer know that we are aware of our rights under the SF rent ordinance, with the response from their lawyer being dismissive and unwilling to back down, we contacted Tobener Ravenscroft. Brian Brophy was the attorney who got back to me, he was incredibly professional and attentive, and most of all helpful, and I believe he went above and beyond our expectations. Brian was able to get our landlords to acknowledge what they could and couldn't do within the change of tenancy terms, and since then has helped in other questionable acts performed by the new landlords. We would absolutely recommend then to anyone dealing with problem landlords or suffering an eviction, and we'll be using them again in the event of any other wrongdoing by our new landlords.
