We have had a wonderful experience working with Mr. James Stein, attorney in San Ramon, CA, on developing our estate plan. At the beginning, James met with us, clearly explained the planning process, and provided detailed answers to our questions. During the development of the estate planning document, we met with James two more times to make sure that the estate planning portfolio fully satisfied our needs. Through the entire process, James was always prompt in responding to our questions. He completed the estate planning document exactly on time, as was originally discussed. Overall, we really enjoyed working with Mr. Stein and greatly appreciated his thorough attention to fulfilling our needs in the estate planning. Finally, we would highly recommend James Stein to anyone who wishes to develop an estate planning portfolio.

My wife and I decided it was time to get a Trust and associated documents and we wanted someone in and/or around the Danville CA area that was a top notch, provided end to end estate planning expertise, was an estate planning attorney, was knowledge and was easy to do business with as my wife and I tend to come at issues from the opposite prospective... we needed someone to listen and then bring us together. James was very good at listening and then explaining things like the options at each of the various steps and the pros/and cons of each, yet has a helpful opinion. James was a perfect fit for our needs and was able to pull everything together while keeping both of us focused but not rushed as we made estate planning decisions. James Stein created a Trust for me after I finally stopped postponing doing it. He was very knowledgeable and professional and easy to work with and made the process smoother than I thought it would be. James was patient with my timeline and answered all of my concerns and provided resources to me voluntarily. I received a very organized binder with my Trust and a thumb drive key and further written instructions for follow up if I found it necessary. I highly recommend his services.

When my family started the estate planning process, I researched online and scheduled consultations with several law offices with similar positive reviews. Even though James's quoted fees was the highest, I selected James after the consultations for the following reasons: 1. He was the MOST patient in answering my many questions. 2. He asked additional questions that I did not think of (other lawyers did not ask). 3. Has experience handling out-of-state investment properties. Throughout the process, James continued to impress as he was completely through, knowledgeable, and the utmost professional. James provided very detailed follow up instructions and continued with friendly follow ups to make sure we didn't have additional questions. We are very happy with James and would highly recommend him.

James Stein performed legal services for my family, setting up a complete estate plan and working through particulars surrounding powers of attorney and trusteeships. He was attentive, affable, always responsive and informative, and accomplished everything in a very timely fashion. He was resourceful in working through any idiosyncratic difficulties of our situation. Most of this work was reviewed by another attorney from prior connections, who also handles trusts and estates, and she judged his work to be very solid. Within the context of customary legal fees in this realm, attorney Stein’s charges were quite reasonable. I would solidly recommend him to anyone seeking the kind of services he provides.
