I was representing myself in a misdemeanor charge , and went to the preliminary hearing by myself. The DA offered me a plea deal in the hallway ,what I refused. I was innocent. The Judge did not like the idea I represent myself, and after I pleaded NOT GUILTY he told me to get a lawyer for the next hearing. After a long search looking in phonebooks and on the internet, and visiting court rooms, checking out attorneys in action ,picked a few lawyers, and went to see them. Andy represented my son with his criminal case. My sons case is definitely classified under “complicated to say the least” and yet Andy was attentive from the day I called him. The DA dragged out my sons case for over a year with continuance after continuance and every time we went to court we were left frustrated and confused. They were trying to put my son in prison and had the main DA supervising my sons case. Once we retained Andy those days were over.
