I retained Chris Cháney for a TRO, from day one he knew what he was doing, his work was impressive. When we went to the court hearing, Chris was prepared (he did a great job with my declaration and preparing evidence) and when he crossed examined the other party, his questions were short but meaningful. Chris work was so good that the Judge did not need me to take the stand because Chris did a great job discrediting the other party, my constitutional rights were protected with Chris, the judge ruled in my favor without me testifying. I strongly recommend Chris for any of your legal work, he will prevail!

I had previously hired another attorney to write a letter to withdraw a no-fault eviction under the LA county eviction moratorium, which was successful. When I was then concerned with prospective buyers coming through and filling the place with covid, that attorney had wished to negotiate multiple open-houses per week in lieu of the traditional 24 hour notice showings, which of course is worse... Highly fortunate that I found Joe Kellener at Dignity Law, who patiently listened to my situation and then laid out all the ways I could remain protected in a very succinct manner. He knows all aspects of tenant-landlord law, and will not blow smoke nor give you fake promises or guesses at what can be done. They also charge significantly less per hour than the many other firms I contacted, and have been open to my nagging questions without charging for every conversation. "I'm here to help and I only charge if I have to do something". In this very tense covidy circumstance, Joe has allowed me to breathe again. Long story short, Joe wrote a letter and fixed my problem, so now I will be hosting Zoom showings until I'm vaccinated. One note, Joe came as a referral from another firm. Unfortunately, Dignity Law did not come up in any of my initial Yelp or Google searches for "tenant landlord law", but hopefully more people will save time and aggravation by hiring him from the get go.

She cares about her clients, and her firm doesn't treat you like you're some criminal and actually listens to what you have to say so they can work out the best possible outcome, whatever the situation you may fine yourself caught up in. I just hope I won't be needing any more legal services anymore.

The best and professional lawyer there is in the Valley. He always reads before he signs and can get people out of a car towing issues really fast.

Generally I find lawyers to be out for themselves more than their clients, a necessary evil so to speak. This couldn't be further from the truth about Dan Melnick, the man is stellar. He is the real thing. He has a component that most of us lack, he is a true humanitarian. He puts the human back into inhuman circumstances that unfortunately sometimes happen to people. Dan will also tell you the truth straight up and never sugar coat or lie to you, I think that is so important when dealing with people's lives. In a time of trouble, there is no doubt or hesitation that I would reach out to Dan. I am forever grateful to this man. If you are in challenging situation, I would sincerely suggest checking out Dan Melnick.
