As a clinical social worker in the Bay area and in my personal life I have dealt with a significant amount of death. After dealing with my father's estate and the complexities of probate, I was determined to set up my estate plan and make sure myself and my daughter were protected. My favorable experience with Talbot Law Group rests entirely with their attorney Ms. Emily Nashban who was assigned to my case.  I live in Pennsylvania; however, my sister, who lived in the Bay Area, passed away unexpectedly.  I became executor of her intestate estate, which necessitated probate proceedings.  It entailed a long (more-than-a-year process--mainly due to CA laws and court timetable/availability).  I had no previous CA-appointed executor experience and therefore had to rely completely on Ms. Nashban’s guidance.  From start to finish, she provided all the legal advice and assistance needed to successfully reach a "case closed"—all with no glitches.  (It should be noted that I, unfortunately, have never met Ms. Nashban in person.  The 2,300-mile CA-to-PA separation necessitated all matters be handled by telephone, email, and U.S. mail.)  Ms. Nashban was at all times efficient in both her duties and overseeing mine.  I developed complete confidence in her advice and actions and found her to be a very pleasant attorney who truly cares for her clients and their needs.  I cannot recommend her services more highly.  Lynda Johnson

We are impressed with Matt Talbot. He is straightforward, very knowledgeable and a great listener. He is decisive which helped us finish this task quickly. He has been in this business for 10 years and works with all kinds of people and many different situations come up. Our documents benefit from Matt’s knowledge. Also, one of the best things is Matt sense of humor, he makes us smile. I imagine Matt is powerful in court. He is smart, clear, concise and enthusiastic. Matt wrote our estate plan which includes a revocable trust, our wills, power of attorney and advanced health care directive. He know his stuff. We actually read the documents and had a bunch of questions that Matt spent time answering. Now, I wanted simple documents, but guess that is not the best thing. We are thinking of our heirs and how to make inheriting simple for them. That means the Trust needs to be complete and have many clauses in case there is a certain problem. If the trust spells out what to do, then in the long away future after we pass away, our children will have an easy time with the inheritance process.

We began working with Mr. Talbot earlier this year based on a strong recommendation from a close family member. When setting up our family trust, he gave us everything we needed to meet our needs and retain our flexibility for the future. He ensured that we understood every decision we were making and why our choices were the best for our family.
