I had two separate cases that I needed to take care of. Most lawyers would advise you to go to court so they can take your money. Michael was the opposite. I went through a very tough custody battle and had to deal with my spouse trying to make me sell our home, Jon was there every step of the way! Answered all email and calls when I had an emergency. I had a one hour consultation with Obi Chukwu to have him review a joint petition for divorce that my wife and I had drafted. He had a lot of great suggestions as to how I could improve the language in the joint petition. I went to speak to Mr. Guillory regarding a DWI that I received about 1 month prior to going in to his office. Once we started taking, I mentioned that I was involved in a horrible custody fight. I didn't realize that Josh handled child custody issues, too. I thought it was two totally different areas of the law, but he explained how much the DWI case could impact my custody case. I am so glad that I went with Josh Guillory for both cases. He and his staff really got me through a very tough period. Catherine was referred to me by a friend and even though she was 45 min from me, I was so glad to have her and worth every minute and penny. (Which was beyond reasonable too.) I just bought my 1st house and needed a real estate attorney. I knew next to nothing about the process of what it takes to actually close on a house, but Catherine answered all of my 100 questions I had and was good at explaining it. She is beyond professional and knowledgeable, very sweet, but also doesn’t mess around and fights hard, which you don’t usually find all 4 of these qualities together. Never once did I ever even have a problem reaching her, (try that with another attorney!), and her paralegal, Sharon, is awesome as well! She also knew most of the answers to my questions and kept me in the loop every single step of the way. Catherine totally had my back when it came to the contract, putting in what was needed to benefit me and also explaining it [again] each step of the way. Catherine Dominici is a shark. She goes over and beyond for her clients. When there is a problem, she does not back down or waiver. It does not matter how long she has to battle; she gets it done. Catherine was my attorney in a child custody battle. Sadly, my ex was in no position to be a parent to my 3 children. It was a very unsafe and unhealthy environment for them. Long story short, Catherine got the job done. I have sole custody of my children without visitation.(which sounds terrible but in this situation anything else would of been unacceptable). She was on my side, well my childrens side 100%. She truly cared for the well being of my children. I have never met an attorney with so much dedication and compassion such as hers. She was always there for us. She was very reasonable with her costs and her office staff was just as amazing as she was. I was in Erie county family court. Gary went above and beyond. Gary helped me when noone else would. Gary helped me in a way I don't think anyone else could. He put me at ease. Mark Paige brought me back from ruin. I was in a serious situation with a divorce stipulation that was violated and I needed serious legal counseling. I tried numerous other legal options but none were developing a plan of action due to the complexity of my situation. I had a marital residency that was in severe financial distress (foreclosure). I had a deep financial crisis with child support that was in arrears over due to a miscalculation from over 8 years ago. Mr Paige set forth a roadmap that started with dealing with one issue at a time. From 2016 till 2023 he along with his team of legal professionals was able to fight the violation of the divorce stipulation. He then was able to challenge the Foreclosure of the marital residence. Have my Arrears recalculated finding an overpayment. Furthermore with the overpayment had my child support terminated due to the alienation that took place. Since I was left to deal with a foreclosure property that was abandoned by the other party Mr Paige was able to facilitate a short sale with a third party. This was the completion of the roadmap that he laid out from day one. To add to the success he was able to have my passport awarded to me which was an issue due to the arrearages that were shown prior to the recalculation.
Mr. Paige Commanded a presence that was of the highest regard due to him always showing the Judge as well as the other parties the utmost respect. He worked hard to make sure he left no stone unturned while preparing for court proceedings. I will always thank him for not turning me away and always giving 110% to me when others would not take my case again due to its complexity. Not only do I recommend him as a great hire but also a great source of knowledge to other lawyers who have clients who may be dealing with similar issues. Mine was super complex but a lawyer like Mark Paige is best suited to succeed in this undertaking.
Prior to me finding the service of Mark S Paige I was stonewalled in many proceedings that I thought I could handle pro-se. It was very frustrating and demoralizing. The day I saw I was moving in the right direction was when I was able to tell a support magistrate that I would like to refrain from any further comments due to me retaining the services of Mark S Paige. At this time the Magistrate said you have made a great decision regarding your retaining of Mr Paige … He is a very good lawyer. Fast forward to today I know this was the best decision I could have made for my life which Mark Paige gave me back. Look no further you have found a Great Lawyer right here.

Attorney Boyd, from the start, had my best interests as his priority. I feel he connected personally with me and I never felt disadvantaged. I retained Attorney Boyd in April of 2011 but delayed any action as I worked to reconcile my marriage. Back in February we consulted with Troy about my fiancé's case that seemed almost impossible. His family and myself almost lost hope that my fiancé wasn't going to be able to change his status due to some legal issues he was facing. she then delivered the results that I thought I couldn't possibly achieve due
to the mess that my case had become: my daughter's life back, free from
a downward spiral of rulings that never should have been put in place.
Ms. Bennett and the firm of Orsinger, Nelson, Downing and Anderson picked up
my case at a time that i was certain that all I could hope for was a "not as bad as the worst",
but was still a horrible disruption to my daughter's life, as well as my entire family's;
essentially hopeless due to a series of events that i would have never imagined
to be possible for me as a single parent that had raised my daughter for her
entire life of 9 years without incident.

Divorce is probably one of the most stressful things in anyone's life. Kathleen had the disadvantage of entering as my second attorney. After a failed mediation and a too quiet and too sweet attorney, I found Kathleen. My sister-in-law had testified for her in a case and was incredibly impressed. I soon concurred. Kathleen was honest, real and told me the truth - not what she thought I wanted to hear. Exactly what I wanted and needed. She found the perfect mediator for us (I do believe there is an art in picking the right mediator for a client!). Kathleen allowed me my emotions (believe me, there were a few!) but also kept me focused on the things that mattered. She's smart, great with numbers (accounting background) and a wicked sense of humor. Everything I could have asked for and more! I ended up with my kids (#1) and all the "real" money (#2). Only wish I had started with her and saved myself 8 months of grief!

I hired an attorney over the summer to handle a custody case as my kids were in a dangerous situation. In sixty days this attorney took me through two losing trials and ended up billing over $65,000. In the process she managed to upset two judges.
In the end my children were left in a more dangerous situation than had I done nothing.
I felt I had let my children down and was more than disheartened. That said, I could not give up and leave them in the situation they were in. I decided I needed to try again with a new attorney.
I was recommended to Kathleen’s firm by a friend. As you can imagine I was skeptical at first as my prior experience was so disheartening - I felt it was all about "billable hours".
When I met with Kathleen one of the first things she said was “If I ever have something on your bill you don’t agree with, tell me and I will take it off”. I was still skeptical until I received my first monthly billing.
In short, her billings were concise and understandable. More importantly, she took five minutes, and billed five minutes, to do a five minute job. Through about four months of engagement I never felt like I was being miked for time, and never felt I was treated unfairly.
We ended up in mediation - which is a lot of waiting. Even in mediation Kathleen said “I can sit here and speak with you and bill you for my time, or I can work on other cases while we wait.” Having been through other mediations over the years there is a lot of waiting time. This is the first time I had been given this option!
With that said, it doesn't matter what an attorney costs if your children are not taken care of.
My end result is that after about four months of working with Kathleen I have my children with me full time, child support is reversed (with me receiving instead of paying), and I am able to move my children out of state – almost unheard of in a custody situation. I ended up being billed about a quarter what my previous attorney had billed in just two months over the summer – AND most importantly I got results that keep my kids safe!
I have worked with many attorneys through businesses I have been involved with through the years. It had always seemed like a game of “how many hours can I bill you for”. I absolutely did not feel this way with Kathleen.
I could not recommend her more highly. She is absolutely the best attorney I have ever worked with.
