I hired Barre Sakol because I wanted someone who was going to be honest with me and who I felt would genuinely fight for me. I didn't want someone who was going to give me best case scenarios (I have friends for that). From my first interaction with Barre Sakol, he was very blunt and direct and informative about the law and that kind of straight shooting honesty is exactly what I needed. He never beat around the bush or misled me in what he said or did. He was extremely attentive to anything I needed at all times. Dealing with the law is typically a very stressful and difficult situation to go through, but Barre Sakol continuously, through his actions, made me feel like I had someone on my side who was fighting as hard as they could to help me and constantly expressed genuine concern for how I was doing. Everyone who I interacted with in his office was kind, attentive, efficient, and nonjudgmental. The two beautiful huskies in the office will make your heart melt and take away the stress of the situation. I truly cannot express my gratitude for the way Barre Sakol handled my case with kindness, compassion, attentiveness, vigor, and relentlessness. I never once doubted that he was working as hard as he could to win my case and gave me the best experience with a lawyer I could have ever asked for. Worth every penny (even if he hadn't won my case). Thank you Barre.

While I wish I had never had to meet Barre, I'm glad that I retained his services. Through out a protracted process over nearly a year, with an extremely hostile ex, he consistently provided good advice that in the end resulted in a parenting plan that was better than the PRE recommended plan and an equitable financial settlement. His availability was amazing, his responses were typically within hours. Amy is an integral part of his services. It is obvious that they have an amazing partnership and one of the ways costs are controlled is that Amy does everything up to the limits of her position before Barre gets involved. While I know there are cheaper lawyers, myself and the one other person I personally know that have used Barre came out in good shape from what will be the biggest nightmare of my life.

I retained Barre Sakol as my lawyer in what turned out to be a difficult, protracted post-divorce litigation. Throughout this process Mr. Sakol proved, at ever step of the way, to be expert in handling my own questions and concerns as well as in dealing with my ex-wife’s attorney. Barre is aggressive when he needs to be, but always in a way that is fair and in the best interests of his client. He is always available, and very focused on his client and his/her case. Barre (and his assistant Amy) are not only highly efficient and intelligent but also friendly and compassionate—what more can one ask for in an attorney? Highly recommended.

I have a very high-conflict post-divorce situation involving my vulnerable children. My family and I call Barre, "our Super hero." Barre is a human being first with a heart of gold for children and families. As I was a wreck, Barre "cut to the chase" and helped me navigate a very emotionally difficult situation. My daughter was on death's door. By listening to Barre, we won EVERYTHING in court. My daughter is alive and thriving. Unbelievable to me given the fire power of my ex and his willingness to lie and use my kids as pawns. I would not want to play against Barre in a game of chess, but having him on my team was life saving. When in need of an attorney, I knew exactly who to call. Considering both "principle and practical" as Barre suggests, my experience gave me the best from both perspectives. Even before knowing Barre, I benefited from his willingness to help, quick thinking and integrity. Barre saved Blaze, my 14 year old Husky, from losing his life to a pitbull. Thankfully, neither Barre or the pitbull were injured. A near eye loss and layers of stitches later, Blaze made a full recovery. Barre will forever be our Hero. A few years later, when needing help through a possible divorce, I contacted Barre. I have been a professional, involved with the Courts for over 4 decades. In this time frame I have had to interact with a great many lawyers, which is not always a pleasant experience. You can learn a lot about a person by how they perform in their role as a lawyer, which is not always an easy job. Consistently I have found Barre Sakol to be an attorney/individual who operates with great integrity. He is always a champion for his client, and in this role he looks out for his client’s best interest as a person/father as well as looking after the best legal interest of the client. Sometimes these two positions can be quite divergent, yet Barre never compromises his integrity with either role. Barre also juggles approaching a case while “wearing a white hat”, yet at the same time he has the ability to dial up his assertiveness to match what may be thrown at him from the other side. When Barre has had to go to this latter position, his presentation has always been with facts and supported by a solid legal position. All too often I have witnessed attorneys attacking personalities as their approach; Barre sticks to the facts, and the law. I have also had the opportunity to approach Barre for personal legal advice, and what I have received from him is a well thought out, well-rounded perspective of the issues. If you are looking for an attorney with consistent integrity, who knows the law, and who comes from a perspective that will best help you, Barre Sakol is that attorney. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

I worked with Barre for my divorce and was very happy with his services. I initially worked with a different attorney who had lower rates (I was pinching pennies and sensitive to costs) at the beginning but the cheaper attorney wasn't very responsive or helpful so I switched to Barre and was relieved to have a true advocate on my side. Barre was always quick to respond to my inquiries and let me know my options. He has a sense of humor too....it's nice to be able to smile in the midst of a lot of turmoil! After my divorce was final I worked with Barre again to sort through changes in custody. I had an interesting case and Barre was really great to work with. It was a trying time and having Barre on my side was was the best decision I made.

Attorney Barre Sakol represented me through a difficult divorce. Obviously an emotional situation to be in, Barre kept me on an even keel as we navigated the process to resolve the issues and reach a conclusion and settlement. Yes, Barre can be gruff, but you want that in a lawyer who won't be pushed around by the opposing party! And his office staff was professional yet caring (especially Teddy).
