I had a very unpleasant situation that found me alone facing down the Colorado State Attorney General's Office representing the Colorado Department of Human Services in an unusual administrative ordeal. I went looking around for someone who knew how to handle this situation and couldn't find anyone. Eventually an attorney I know and respect recommended Austin Lux. Although this was a new situation for Austin he was willing to take me on as a client. He quickly got to work. He managed to get the hearing reset for me and he had the court review and reset an aspect of the proceeding that was inherently unfair to me. Prior to the hearing he became intimately familiar with all aspects of the case. In other words he gained mastery of the facts. In preparation for the hearing I just told Austin everything that I thought was important to consider but also let him know that I trusted his judgment on what to put in and what to leave out. I trusted him to make the call on what to use. We had a three-day hearing against the State Attorney General's office. They had two lead attorneys and six to eight paralegals. At times they had 12 people from their office in the hearing all going up against Austin on his own. It was pretty awesome to be honest. Long story short, he won! He beat them all. The result of that hearing was the judge made the decision in my favor. The state AG's office isn't accepting that decision (more appeals) but that doesn't change the fact that Austin beat them in court on his own. I had some of the usual frustrations that I have working with all attorneys. Austin is pretty busy and sometimes it will take a little while for him to get back. You're going to deal with that whenever you're working with any successful attorney. They have a lot of work and of course they need down time for their own personal lives and taking care of their own affairs. Whe he did get back to me he always gave me plenty of his time and answered all of my questions. In the end he went through all the information and sorted out what was most relevant and most likely to help me win my case. Clearly his instincts were on point. I've already hired Austin to handle another matter for me. I highly recommend him.

If I was to recommend any attorney it would be Mr. Lux. He's a great attorney. Unlike other attorneys Mr. Lux actually picks up the phone and you can really talk to him before you spend thousands or dollars on someone you never talked to. Mr. Lux helped with a Domestic Violence case and I am beyond thankful for him.
