Birk and his team of expert attorneys are the best attorneys in Colorado. Don't waste your time with other law firms. After you read this, call them, you would be foolish to do otherwise. I wanted a life where I was left alone and allowed to focus on my family, my work, and the simpler aspects of life. I went to war and that changed my life trajectory. I came home and had a series of unfortunate events happen. So, I stood for what is right, followed the law, and lost everything. I had two lawyers who basically collected a paycheck and bumbled through my case making a mess of things. My whole family suffered and continued to suffer for 5 years. Things were looking bleak. Then I was introduced to Birk, who in my opinion is unrivaled. When you work with him or his team you will see an attention to detail that is unparalleled. A work ethic that makes a veteran proud. An understanding of the law that will allow you to receive actual justice. The law is not on your side and if you want to keep your freedom and the things that are important to you, then call them now. I don’t even know were to start! almost two years of fighting. I have full, joint custody of my son. Thanks to Adam, birk, and nora. I communicated alot with Nora to make sure I always had everything up to date and all my important stuff lined up. Even if it was confusing at times with me. And Adam does not stop fighting for you! He’s amazing and I can’t express enough what they have done for my family. They even put me on a payment plan so I can be able to afford to keep them. Birk Is a genius when it comes to the law. He has an elegant, aggressive style that, compounded with his intelligence is a double edged sword that just slays Through the riffraff. There is no fluff in the consultation and he is quick to respond when there is a problem. Another attorney in his office that is definitely worth mentioning with the same attributes is Daniel Mossinghoff. Can't go wrong with either one of them..

I needed legal advice/consultation, gave the firm a call, explained my situation and within 30 minutes got a return call from Birk who was able to answer all my questions over phone within 10 minutes. RESPONSE/EDIT: You specifically stated that you were going to file a motion requesting dismissal of the case due to the lack of compliance on the case from the petitioning party. You told me that you would bcc me on the email the following day. Once the next day came, you never emailed me. Weeks passed and still I heard nothing. Eventually I reached out and couldn't even get you to call me for a conversation. That's another thing about this firm, they told me that they preferred email communication versus calling. I respected that and still couldn't get responses within normal business hour timeframes. I never expected the firm to dismiss the case but to act like this discussion or request came out of nowhere is just unethical. Again, I was told that things would happen on multiple occasions and then wouldn't hear from them for weeks. Whether or not the court process is slow, this style of communication is inappropriate. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I really regret selecting this law firm to assist me during a custody matter. Prior to hiring this firm, I contacted many firms to ensure I was going with the best choice. During my free consultation, I spoke with Birk and at first I was very impressed. He answered all of my questions and I felt like I was going to have a strong advocate/lawyer to handle my custody case. I am a single mother that has limited financial resources, so coming up with the retainer was difficult. My first red flag should have been the amount per hour that Birk charges ($450/hr). Second, once I signed the retainer agreement and paid the $3,500 fee, I wasn't contacted at all. It took me having to reach out, be shuffled around, and essentially be pushed to the side before speaking with someone. $3,500 is not something that I just had in my back pocket. I was initially set up with the associate attorney as his rates were "cheaper". He was terrible and was very difficult to get ahold of. Eventually after multiple emails and calls to the office, Birk stated that he would take my case and offered a discounted rate. Most of my interactions with the firm took place through their paralegal, Nora (who was great). However, I was paying outrageous hourly fees for an attorney, not a paralegal. The communication was still poor and there would be weeks at a time where I wouldn't even receive an email back. I began to panic as I needed competent representation. The father of my child filed the case against me out of spite and control, never once seeking any parenting time with our daughter. Often times, he was AWOL from the case, didn't show up for hearings, and didn't file documents on time. I spoke with Birk about some options regarding the case and it being a big waste of time. He told me on many occasions that he would file documents with the court to seek a dismissal or reach out to the opposing party. Then, he would go MIA for weeks. I would have to reach back out in order to get a response and it would likely come from the paralegal, not Birk. I am very disappointed that I chose this firm. Maybe they are great at big payout or high profile cases, but for us less financially-stable, single parents, don't expect his efforts. Eventually, I requested his withdrawal from the case and the return of my remaining funds. I got $1,100 back. Now, I am not represented and out of the total $3,500 I paid at the beginning. My biggest advice: stay away.

Birk Baumgartner, esq. Attorney At Law was extremely helpful

It has been a pretty smooth ride working with attorney Sean Simeson over at Baumgartner Law . When I found Sean, I had recently moved to Colorado from California and I did not know a single person . Knowing I had a somewhat strong employment discrimination case, I was merely looking up yelp reviews on Google trying to find representation. I must of called at least 20 law offices and sure enough , they all wanted to take on the case..... with a huge retainer . I mean, come on! I was just wrongfully terminated and had no income . So my next step was to write a detailed email, explaining my case , and send it to another 20 law offices . Boom! Sean was the first attorney to reply . Not only did he represent me on a contingency agreement, he told me to relax and assured me he would do all the fighting and grunt work. Well, he did and we won . I am sure all attorneys are supposed to fight for you , but how many can you call KICKASS ?. Thanks again, Sean!
