I was NOT impressed with their poor advocacy skills. I did not expect them to change unjust landlord policies or systems. However, I did expect CALS to be motivated to help, in an attempt to ease the human suffering. My perseverance paid off, as I was able to secure a lawyer who was invested in my situation, provided valuable information as essential first steps, and, is even willing to provide legal representation in the event my efforts fail. I was also put off by CALS’ solicitation for a positive review. I do not feel they should be asking.
