I highly recommend Coco Ruggeri & Associates. From start to finish they were very helpful and informative and kept us up-to-date on everything. Having Offices here in the states and in Italy is the key, they are able to navigate the obstacles and obtain original or certified documents from Italy which is virtually impossible to do on your own. They told us from the beginning it would be a lengthy process but honestly it wasn't that long, it took 3 years from the time we signed a contract. They are even able to assist you with taxes which will come in handy if you begin to work over in Italy or acquire property and whatnot.

My experience obtaining Italian citizenship thru jure sanguinis with Coco Ruggeri Law Firm was great. I was able to obtain citizenship from my great grandfather on my paternal side. I knew the town that my great grandparents were from. Which is a great help in tracking birth, marriage and death certificates in the commune in Italy. My great grandfather didn't become a US citizen until after my father was born and more importantly never renounced his Italian citizenship. When I was considering to choose Coco Ruggeri Law Firm I filled out the application and had a phone consultation. They answered my questions and assured me that they would be able to help me. They quoted me a price which I agreed and they never asked for anything more than what was quoted. The process went very smoothly for me. Just remember that everyone's situation is unique as it could be factors in qualifying for citizenship, time-line in gathering documents and how many documents need to be translated. And how fast the state or states can get the documents necessary along with collecting the immigration documents from the federal government all play a role in the time-line.
