WORST LAWYER EVER... THEY ARE THIEVES STAY AWAY.... I have charges that are unjust.... I ended up firing my lawyer due to her complete lack of knowledge... I still have charges pending from this rate hole that i will be taking to court... I just hope more people don't fall for these incompetent criminals.

Rob was extremely helpful. He even went as far as to help me with a bankruptcy case that he did not work on. He insightfulness and knowledge of the bankruptcy laws and regulations helped this client explore options with a home loan. I would recommend anyone that is looking for a great bankruptcy to call Rob Cohen.

Life’s changes sometimes require difficult decisions and that is why we sought out Rob’s services. We had a complicated financial picture that Rob analyzed thoroughly before rendering any advice. To his credit he explained the possible risks of filing as well as the possible best case scenario. Well one good thing is the front staff is so wonderful. My lawyer however was like a duck out of water during the bankruptcy hearing. He did not stand up for me or explain anything during the hearing. Instead the rep. for the hearing asked me questions and looked at me. I had no clue what he was talking about and when I turned to my lawyer he was just looking at me too! I lost $2,000 because my layer didn't speak up for me which is, duh, why you hire a lawyer in the first place! I asked him after and he was like, oh well you could have kept your stocks and if I amend it, it will cost you about $2,000. So yah. My advise is ask questions to your lawyer even during the trial. It will save you a headache.

As a mortgage banker, I am not always able to say my experiences in working with attorneys is a positive one. Especially when they are a bankruptcy attorney. However, Rob is a substantially different case than most. Our mutual client had worked with Rob on a bankruptcy SEVEN years ago. When my client e-mailed Rob, not only did he know who she was, he asked her how things were going and took the time to catch up with a past client. We needed Rob's help with something that was an unconventional request to help our client qualify for a home. Not to mention, this was not in his job description (unless he were to be paid for the work rendered). Rob understood the situation and took time out of his work day to make sure his past client was taken care of. He could have charged my client for the work rendered if he wanted to and no one could have said a word. But the fact that this man did everything by the book and out of a sincere willingness to help someone in need, speaks volumes about the way he runs his business and takes care of his people. If you want to find a bankruptcy attorney that has your best interest at heart instead of theirs, you would be foolish to go to anyone besides Robertson Cohen. The man is a five star professional and I will be referring my personal client business his way. I can assure you of that.
