I have worked with Burnham Law since Sept 29, 2020 trying to what felt like being on the defense even though I was the petitioner until they dropped me as a client after spending approximately $100k or more with out embellishing. I had to go through 5 attorney's while I had them retained because their turn over rate is though it's a corporate company which is how they treat their clients. I do not recommend ever using them. They will put you family and whole livelihood in jeopardy. I got more emails about the bill than I did on what was actually happening with the divorce. I've since found several attorneys with integrity and ethics. Burnham law is not one of those companies. I own multi million dollar companies and have dealt with lawyers for the last 20+ yrs whether it was for child custody or for business and I've never experienced the unprofessionalism I had experienced with them. They wanted $20K down for the trial in my divorce in December of last yr for a trial in August the next yr. I asked to go to mediation several times and they never came through. In February after I had paid them a min of $1000 per wk with no results I got mediation myself. They are thieves and no one should ever retain them... I don't say this out of malice... I say this because they are a joke and they do not provide results. Contact me and I can give you info to much better attorneys.

My significant other and I were first introduced to Ms. Riley Scott at a previous law firm. When meeting Ms. Scott we were one year into defending a dysfunctional and high conflict motion to relocate placed on behalf of my stepchild’s mother. We had already invested thousands of dollars in this firm as the petitioner had gone through seven attorneys to this point. Ms. Scott expressed sincere care about the case. She communicated realistic outcomes. She was timely in her communication and met every court deadline with detail-oriented motions. I whole-heartedly believe that the reason we were able to negotiate a settlement in this high conflict case was due to her diligence and hard work. Fast forward to only six months after the settlement when a motion for first right of refusal was filed. We knew the best individual to trust was Ms. Riley Scott, now a member of Burnham Law. Riley once again navigated an extremely high conflict partitioner with ease using her extensive knowledge of law all while maintaining a professional composure. The past two and a half years of our lives have been full of suffering, uncertainty, helplessness, and fear of the unknown. Having Ms. Riley Scott as an attorney has been a shining light. Adequate words will never be able to describe how grateful we are to know her and to have had the opportunity to be represented by her. She has made a huge difference in our lives.

These folks require a $10K Evergreen retainer which means that as services are provided the client must maintain that balance. I didn't go with them as clients are charged for their cases being discussed at weekly staff meetings. I believe this practice is of minimal value to the client and adds expense to their bills.

Mark Smith (and Para Jean Pumplin) provided attentive, responsive, thorough counsel and follow through from day one. Mark Smith was exceptionally well-prepared for court, and he prepared me very well for the hearing. I was 100% satisfied with the outcome of my case. I highly recommend this dynamic team.

Didn't end up needing their services after all, but their intake group and lawyer assigned were super nice and understanding about my situation. Will probably go back if I need legal help in the future.

Joanna Floribus was absolutely amazing in helping me with my case! She helped me through every step of the long and tedious process of a highly contentious divorce and child custody battle with extreme caring, compassion, and empathy. She made sure that I understood everything with my realistic options, as there were some complications due to a previous criminal case. Not only was she incredibly smart and knowledgeable on the law, but she tenaciously stood up to other well known lawyers with many more years of experience than her and put them in their place. So much so that my ex ended up firing her first lawyer! Ha! I honestly can not say enough good things about Joanna. Not only is Joanna a top notch lawyer, she is just a downright good person. A wife and mother and just totally down to earth. By the time my divorce was finalized, I felt I had the best lawyer and had also gained a friend in the process! Do not hesitate to use Joanna Floribus as your lawyer, you will NOT be disappointed!

I had Joanna Floribus representing me throughout my divorce. Despite the hurdles we had to jump through and the befuddlement from the other side, she urged me to stay calm considering how she could read my ex wife. The results initially were annoying from the magistrate, that’s not Joanna’s fault, but in the end, exactly what Joanna said would happen happened. She was a fantastic attorney and helped me much more than I believe anyone else would have and went further than I know another attorney would. Would for sure recommend Burnham Law Firm.
