I have spoken with a few of the staff members by phone. They are very knowledgeable of the Colorado laws and very informative with the questioned I asked.

I am grateful for the staff of the Rider Goodwin Law Firm in helping me out through my complicated and contested divorce. I first learned of the firm from a non-profit organization that provides referrals and resources to for victims of domestic violence, and the firm is known for their pro bono work in helping survivors of abuse. I had hastily chosen my first family law firm once realizing I had become the victim of crimes in my marriage, and I did not feel completely comfortable with my first firm to handle my complicated case with many legal layers. When I met with Kelley, she was very informative and friendly and assured me that her method of practice is to inform her clients so that they can make the best decisions for their own situation. I felt relieved after meeting her, and I trusted her and her firm at a gut level. They did not prove me wrong! Gayle Moser was the attorney who handled my case, and her working knowledge of the system was very helpful in guiding my decisions and getting a good outcome for my case. The firm always had the safety of my children and myself at the forefront, and Gayle was quick to respond and guide me when more stressful safety concerns arose. We were able to reach a settlement agreement out of court, which was likely the best outcome for all involved. Gayle and Kelley were always respectful, supportive, patient, and compassionate in their work with me, and I know that they worked hard on my behalf. I highly recommend the firm for anyone looking for a family lawyer, and I plan to continue to work with them in the future should any matters arise with my case in the future. I know they have my back!

During my divorce I worked with an attorney that was very happy to take my money but wasn’t able, or willing, to put in the effort when I really needed him to. Gayle Moser on the other hand showed me that an attorney can care about the client. She is very meticulous making sure she understands every aspect of the case in front of her. Her knowledge of the law and the courts is unbelievable. What I personally found most helpful is that she will tell you when you are wrong, or if what you are asking is unobtainable instead offering advice to move your case in the right direction. An honest attorney is the most valuable asset anyone can have when faced with a court case.

My attorney was late the day of mediation. They reported my income was $500 dollars more a month than it actually is on the child support order. They also reported the wrong amount of overnights.

Unfortunately, my experience with attorney Kelly Rider-Goodwin was about the worst you could imagine in a life situation where trust is everything. I hired Kelly in 2015 for a family law case prior to its final mediation session leading up to custody arrangements. She charged me $2,000 up front for an unsuccessful mediation, then went on vacation, and upon her return pulled out of the case THE DAY BEFORE trial because she felt "unprepared." Leaving a parent without representation at the most crucial stage in the interest of their child was unthinkable and unethical. Luckily, I was able to get the final hearing extended which gave me time to find a caring and capable attorney who stepped in to pick up the mess Kelly left, and the case outcome was very favorable. When I reached out to Kelly to ask for a partial refund at minimum due to the position she had left me in, she refused to return calls or emails.
