I ended up in a situation where I felt it would be best to have some representation; while I had no prior criminal history, I also had no knowledge of the Colorado judicial system or its workings and was extremely stressed out. After consulting with multiple attorneys, I ended up retaining Nick Cummings and I couldn't be happier about the whole experience. Nick's engagement and level of service throughout the course of my case outweighed my expectations; communication was easy and responses always came quickly, and it was easy to meet with him in person as well. While my case is probably no big deal to his firm, I still very much appreciate the effort he put forth, and for being treated like a client he cared about. Nick is a busy guy, no doubt about it. Just to put that into perspective, from the time I first met him after regular office hours on a weekday night, to the time of my final judgement day, he was always there for me. Not once did I feel that Mr. Cummings was not working hard on my case. While one may receive similar outcomes from any other lawyer, I felt like Nick was different from most, that in a way he actually cared about what I was going through, which definitely showed from the beginning until the end. I realize I was not the only client being defended by this man, regardless I truly believe he worked as hard as possible on my case. Without Mr Cummings I would probably be in jail or worse by now. Hiring an experienced individual in criminal defense DOES make a difference and if you find yourself down in a hole and need help out, Nick will be there for you just as he was for me. I hired Mr. Cummings for a speeding ticket case. I consulted with a few lawyers, and decided to hire Mr. Cummings because he was the only lawyer that was willing to meet with me face-to-face for the consultation. Every other lawyer did not want to meet with me for a consultation on a speeding ticket. Mr. Cummings was kind, professional, and knowledgeable. He personally kept me posted on my case, as well as his legal assistant. He was able to get my ticket reduced to a non-moving violation with no points.
