Our personal injury case was a difficult situation for the VanMeveren law group to have taken. There were complexities compounded by actions taken by the defendants, such as erasing a video tape which would have confirmed our story. This case took over two years to get settled in our favor. It finally did, thanks to the incredible persistence by our lead attorney Troy Ukasick with the backing of his staff and the VanMeveren firm. Troy's knowledge and experience was the correctly applied measure to get this case resolved. He diligently overcame resistance, evasion and obfuscation by the defendants' attorney who, in my view, wasted a lot of everyone's time. Troy knew the procedures and was highly efficient in the law and process. In all that legalese, he also was always personable and cared about us as human beings. On a personal note, lawsuits usually aren't fun. But the act of walking into Troy's office was always pleasant. Troy and his legal assistant Amy were personable, gracious, professional and even fun to be around. They made the anticipated "misery" of legal proceedings into something understandable and clear. It was always a joy to be in their presence. While I hope to never endure legal proceedings again, if I had to I would immediately turn to Troy and his team for their guidance. Everyone is truly appreciated and I thank them.

If I could give 10 stars, I would! My husband died in March, as a result of being hit by a driver who had fallen asleep at the wheel. The day after he passed, I called VanMeveren Law and was guided through the entire process every step of the way. Bryan communicated frequently by phone and was most caring and attentive to my needs and situation. I found VanMeveren Law Group after an awful experience with a major law office that left us feeling less than hopeful about our case. I was pleasantly surprised when our first call came from the actual lawyer that would be working with us! When we met with Karl we knew that we weren’t just a case number and really appreciated his transparency so that we could decide if hiring their firm was best for our family. Karl checked in with us weekly, was always quick to respond to any communication from us, made sure that we understood every step we took and answered every question or scenario I came up with. When you have a case involving six people, with four of them being children, there are a LOT of pieces to coordinate. Karl made sure that the insurance companies saw us as actual people and fought for each member of our family as though they were his only client. After our accident I really thought we could tackle the insurance settlement on our own because it seemed very cut and dry. A year later I can say that there is no way we would’ve reached anywhere close to what Karl was able to accomplish for our family. He was always very realistic with us and reminded us regularly that the decisions were ultimately ours. After you’ve been in an accident that has stripped you of feeling in control and turned your life upside down, having a lawyer that understands the processes and wants to fight for you when you loose hope is invaluable. In the scheme of things our case is a small one with very low policy limits (go increase your uninsured motorist policy right now!) but Karl never made us feel like it.
