Very disappointing experience with this firm. 13k spent and nothing was even accomplished, they charge you $35-$55 just to read and email. 3.7 hours charged just to revise and make small changes to an existing agreement that was pre-written and a template. Crazy billing and expense for zero results not to mention the lag of time to get things accomplished. If I am paying someone an absurd amount of money to try and settle things you would think they would be more attentive and on top of things.I would not recommend this firm to anyone unless you have very deep pockets because they will take everything you have and not even respond to certain communication. Very unprofessional

Professional and timely.

I had called in just to clarify a certain paragraph that was included in an Order that I had received. CJ was very informative and gave me the answers to my questions - immediately. When I called I was immediately connected with an attorney! What a surprise of not having to wait for a call back!! Thanks Modern Family Law!!

I was a client of Karlee Stoppenhagens for 18 months - I hired her to help me with changing a parenting plan and adjusting child support amounts. My ex and me had shared custody of 2 kids for years but unforeseen circumstances caused some serious issues with our current plan and it needed changing. We had maintained 50/50 custody for so long, that it was a huge battle to get it changed but Karlee won it all for me. If you have an ex that wants to fight but you are just trying to do the right thing for the kids - Karlee is the lawyer for you! She is aggressive when need be, but will NOT just fight to fight. The lawyer my ex hired (Marco Scalise) was that lawyer that dragged things out and it actually became very apparent at the end that he was just trying to get us to fight (my ex even noticed and mentioned it to me). Karlee is professional and direct, and she will be upfront with you about your case. She does not lead you on based on how you are feeling towards the situation rather than what is realistic and excepted with the courts. I would recommend her 100% and for having an 18 month long (complicated) case, I have zero complaints.

Karlee Stoppenhagen is an amazing lawyer she walked me through my divorce and child custody hearings, she was readily available when I had questions and frankly, Karlee is straight up a fighter in the court room and made sure I got what was needed! Selena Salinas was also an amazing asset to Karlee, she is so kind and empathetic she is knowledgeable and so helpful when doing paper work. Highly recommend these two they are a power house!
