I highly recommend Jeff Alter. He is professional and knowledgeable. He works directly with his clients and really cares about your family and your families future. This was my first and hopefully last divorce and I had no idea what to expect. Jeff was great at walking me through each step of the way. I appreciate all of the guidance and work he put into my case and am happy with the outcome!

I highly recommend Jeff Alter. This was my first, and hopefully only, divorce. The process is emotionally draining and painfully slow. Jeff worked very closely with me and helped me set reasonable expectations. I found his fees reasonable, especially considering you are getting an experienced attorney and not an associate. Jeff helped me keep the costs down by advising me of ways to do so. His focus was on getting me through the process, not generating excessive fee income for himself. My ex-wife used an expensive, large firm that bills itself as "a law-firm for protecting women". They billed three times the fees that Jeff did, for way less work. Divorce is awful. If you have to go through it, Jeff Alter is an excellent attorney to guide you through the process.

Jeff Alter was an amazing asset to my family/custody case. Court is never an easy process and Jeff made everything - better. He's professional and courteous, but can also be very straight forward with you. He's a great communicator and has very fair billing practices. I highly recommend Jeff Alter, he's a fantastic addition to any case.

Michele Cline helped me negotiate successfully some post-divorce child custody issues that had a special circumstance thrown in to complicate things. Michele was great to work with–she has great attention to detail, she's very knowledgeable, extremely patient and yet can be tough when needed. Throughout the entire process I always got the feeling that she genuinely wanted to help me and my family. I would enthusiastically recommend Michele.

Michele helped me through my divorce in 2017 and I can honestly say I wouldn't have wanted anyone else by my side through it all. I thought I had an amicable divorce going. Then I found out otherwise. After talking with a couple of Lawyers, Michele stood out head and and shoulders above the others. She's fair, but a tiger when needed. Nothing got by her and she did a great job prioritizing! She did a lot of listening to me and focused on exactly what I needed/wanted. She protected my interests and had my back. She did everything that she said she would and is true to her word. Financially she did a fantastic job of not nickel & diming me. It can be very stressful and intimidating selecting an attorney. Mr. Alter is very professional, transparent, and straight forward. All while being competitively priced and fair. I feel like I had the run around from other attorney's while I was attempting to select one, if I was lucky enough to get a call back within a week from others. Jeff has been a Godsend. He is logical and helps make sense of difficult issues. He doesn't speak in "legalese" but strives to clarify the language and demystify the process. He strives to eliminate unnecessary and confusing language. He discourages unnecessary expense. I recommend Jeff without reservation.

I don't know where to start. I didn't want to have to get an attorney to resolve my issue, but it became clear that I needed one and I am so grateful that I ended up retaining Jeff Alter. Jeff was fair, ethical, aggressive, realistic, thorough, responsive, and reasonably priced. He prepared me thoroughly for all potential challenges throughout the entire process of mediation and court, which he could only do because he clearly spent quite a bit of time trying to anticipate them. He gave me the option, where he could, to save money by doing some tasks on my own. He ALWAYS got back to me quickly, by email or phone, and I never felt like his attention was elsewhere when we were talking. Because I live out of town, I didn't even get to actually meet Jeff until nine months after I retained his services, and it really felt like family. He's the best attorney I hope I never have need of again!
