If there was a 100 star option I would leave it for Janis and her staff. Janis helped me through a 2 year battle with my now ex-husband regarding both custody and finances. Janis wasn’t just my divorce attorney throughout all this, she was a coach, a therapist, a friend. When things were rough she would get on the phone with me to help make sure I was in a good headspace. She constantly reminded me it was a marathon, not a sprint. I felt taken care of during the entire process. Not only is she extremely compassionate and caring to her clients but she is also a pitbull when it is needed in the courtroom. She comes well prepared into hearings and trials and has an extensive knowledge not only of family law, but of the Connecticut court systems. It is clear that she is well respected by her peers, the judges and court room staff. Janis’ staff also goes above and beyond for her clients. Rebekah is always friendly and helpful on the phone and perpetually has a great attitude. Sue does wonderful work for the clients. The office is very responsive to phone calls and emails and does a great job at getting you in to meetings. If you are in need of a divorce attorney, no need to look at further, Laliberte Law is the place to go.

What can I say about Laliberte Law, simply put “they just get it”! I was recommended to Janis by a trusted friend, I quickly discover that Janis personally has three plus decades of experience, solely focus on divorces. Janis handled my child custody the best. She’s well known and an awesome and amazing woman. She knows what she is doing. Listen to her and her advice helped me out even on a Day to day life. You're in good hands with Janis. If a divorce settlement is possible, she will protect your interests and negotiate the best possible agreement for you. However, she will not compromise your interests for the sake of settlement, and she is not afraid to go to trial if your soon-to-be ex spouse, or his/her attorney, is being unreasonable. In my divorce, she demonstrated a wealth of knowledge in family law, and the depth of her experience was very evident. Her fees are very reasonable and she is always responsive to questions and concerns during the process.

5 stars are not enough! Attorney Laliberte literally did the impossible. She passionately fought for me during one of the most contentious, drawn out litigations. She tirelessly proved her capabilities, all the while calming my fears, fighting for what was right, and did so ethically, which was not what I experienced with my previous council. She needed to take on my case after a previous lawyer literally stopped working on my case. Her courtroom etiquette, preparation, and capabilities are unparalleled. I am eternally grateful for her efforts. I was awarded full custody of my son against all odds, because someone finally heard me, stepped up, and did everything in their power for the courts to hear my side. Having the right lawyer means everything. I learned this the hard way but am eternally grateful for all her hard work when it mattered the most!
