Outstanding Divorce/Child Custody Lawyer – Highly Recommend!
My case involved a divorce with children, filed by my ex-husband who lives in Ohio, while I reside in Minnesota. Despite my ex-husband and his lawyer insisting that the case should include child custody and be handled in Ohio, Catherine, who was well-versed in child custody laws, raised a key issue: under the UCCJEA (Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act), Ohio did not have jurisdiction over the children. The opposing party continued to push for a trial involving both the divorce and child custody in Ohio, even though this was legally improper. Ultimately, Catherine and I prevailed, as it was determined that Ohio lacked jurisdiction over the children under the UCCJEA. As a result, the divorce was finalized without any decisions made about custody, which would be addressed in Minnesota instead.
I am so grateful for the exceptional legal support I received from Catherine during my divorce. Going through such a difficult and emotional time was incredibly stressful, but she made the entire process so much easier to navigate. Usually with lawyers it’s you get what you pay for. Mr. Bannon was veryyyyy different! The price was good and the service even better. In 2021, it became very apparent I needed a Massachusetts estate planning attorney and family law firm to help with multiple matters. Being from out of state, I knew no lawyers in the Berkshires not to mention an arduous selection process searching for an experienced lawyer and firm.

I'm a little late to the party here (March 2019), but Daniel did an excellent job for me on a case for speeding in Radnor. He knew of the cop involved (his reputation) and his overly aggressive enforcement. Daniel called the local magistrate's office and all was handled (fine, no points) without having to go to court. He was well worth his fee. I've moved to NJ 13 months ago, but if I'm ever stopped again in PA, I'll be sure to contact him.

I was looking at 7 points and $1700 in fines which is bad for a tractor trailer driver. My attorney Mr. Daniel Hanifin was able to negotiate on my behalf and got things down to NO POINTS and $900 in fines and was able to get me a payment plan. WOW talk about getting the job done! Don’t expect them to call you back. I completed the online intake and was able to provide a lot of detail. I called twice to follow up. Our family is well versed in who to use for legal advice. I have been trying to get my special needs cousin on Medicaid for 7 months. I had a zoom meeting with Sally Schoffstall on the afternnon of Jan. 21. On Jan. 25 I received an e-mail from her stating she is now on Medicaid and I will be receiving a confirmation letter soon! Literally 4 days! And 2 of those days were weekend days! She is amazing! After our father suffered a severe stroke, his life changed dramatically. Paying for his newly-needed care was a big challenge. My brother and I started looking into acquiring Medicaid benefits, which was an incredibly difficult task. We soon realized that we needed an attorney that specializes in elder care to help us with this process.
There are hundreds of elder care attorneys in the greater Miami area. We searched for reviews of different firms, but noticed that most of the recommendations were coming from other lawyers and colleagues. We wanted real-world recommendations from actual families, with stories similar to ours. We called Assisted Living facilities in the area and spoke to their managers. Several of them recommended Jason Neufeld with the firm Elder Needs Law.
We decided to work with Jason and his staff. Jason and his staff are extremely efficient. They are very knowledgeable, caring, and responsive. They have answered all of our questions, (special thanks to Tracy Meli) and guided us through this process. Choosing Elder Needs Law was definitely a good decision for us.
The Medicaid application process is very complicated, confusing and time-consuming. We could have NEVER navigated through these many processes by ourselves. Our mother has since declined medically, and now both our parents have been approved by Medicaid, thanks to Elder Needs Law.
Our anxiety about how we can afford their care is gone and we can sleep at night. We highly recommend Elder Needs Law.
