Gina Cooke has been so helpful, professional, friendly, and cooperative in every way possible. For us not having any idea of what to do or how to do she has been extremely wonderful to work with us explaining every step we need to take. Five stars Plus for this office.!!!!!!

No longer a resident of Delaware, I dropped in to the office to get some information and expected to take care of the rest of my business at a distance. When I explained that, they did their best to get an available deputy for me. I was so fortunate to be able to meet with Joshua who clarified a muddy process for me and thoroughly answered all my questions. He even joined me via conference call to assist me in my necessary business. Amazing service that I greatly appreciated!

Traci was exceptionally professional, kind, patient, and helpful in sorting necessary personal affairs. Additionally, her empathetic touch was first rate and greatly appreciated as we navigate caring for final estate matters.

Josh Cushing was very helpful with completing my accounting. This process can be very frustrating and he knew just what to do. He is very knowledgeable, friendly, kind, patient and funny too! He is a great asset to any organization, especially a government one that usually gets a not so great reputation! Thanks Josh!

When I was faced with an unexpected situation and had to go through unknown waters, Mr. Cushing and his team at the Register of Wills was more than patient with me. They were patient with my emotions. They walked me through every step. During the time of loss we often don't know what to do next. It was nice to have help navigating the waters. My experience with Register of Wills has been very positive. My reason to contact them has been very difficult, but then I talk to Josh and he makes everything a little less scary. Inherited a car without a written will and from the person that first answered my phone call to the person that sat down to do paperwork with me, everyone was concise with direction yet apologetic in my loss. Not a service I'd wish on anyone but this office will take care of you if you need them.

Dear Mr. Poppiti, I want to take this opportunity to thank you and your staff for helping me navigate the probate process for my elderly uncle. Your staff was courteous, helpful, and patient as I worked through the process. My uncle's estate was small so I chose to do this myself, rather than hiring a lawyer. The process was fairly easy to follow. I made a few mistakes but your staff was kind and helped me correct them before moving on to the next step. Overall, the process was much less daunting than I expected. I would especially like to thank the deputy who was assigned to me, Francisco (David) Martinez. David was very knowledgeable and guided me through every step. Amy Peters in accounting was also very helpful. You are fortunate to have such good employees in your office. A lot of people like to criticize government, but the folks in the office of the Register of Wills are dedicated public servants. This office was extremely helpful to me after the passing of my father in 2020 and my mother in 2021. Thank you for being there to help with all the paperwork! I worked with Liz Wilford on my father's estate and Alex Mili on my mother's estate, and both were totally helpful and professional. Thank you!

After losing my mom, and being name the executor of her estate, I contacted the New Castle County Register of Wills. I cannot thank them enough for being so helpful.
