I had a case of posession of marijuana in Montgomery county jail for less than 2 ounces
I was dropped a felony to a misdemeanor and served 1 year probation. He was even there for me when I was revoked my probation in 2009 and although this review was due a long time ago. It's always better late than ever to tell everyone that Gilbert Garcia is a great lawyer and is very well known. He will fight for you!

I hired Mr. Shapiro at a horrible time when my life fell apart very publicly because of a poor choice of mine. David was very helpful at shooting straight with me, as well as teaching me, my wife, and my family about the different nuances, definitions, and options of the legal system (which is a disappointingly designed system). I will never need to, but would hire him again in a heartbeat. He is unbelievably responsive to communication at all times, and his firm is filled with kind, helpful people. I hired Adam Bolotin in February of 2020, after an unfortunate misunderstanding that led to my untimely separation from my company and a dream career that I had waited for over 35yrs:(
Due to the pandemic the city of Chicago literally shut down in March of 2020, which pushed my court dates further and further back, with the unknown and uncertainties, a widespread pandemic and no employment I found myself at a low point in my life, but through it all, Adam was extremely encouraging and reassuring by reminding me of how he was going to fight for me and that the law was there to protect me. I will forever be in this man’s debt as he time and time again rushed to represent me even after the case was dismissed, yet my new employer needed some legal final papers. Adam has definitely restored my faith in humanity.

Wonderful Service and Representation, exonerating of all false claims! I am not from Seattle, was traveling for business and was set up. Court Will and his team took the time to review my case on 4th of July weekend and helped defend me, even on short Holiday notice. My case was filed and by 5 minutes past 5pm, Court Will called me and mentioned he spoke with the DA and they’ve decided to withdraw their filing! A big portion of my job involves driving, so when I recently received a traffic infraction I decided to look into options rather than just “lying down” and allowing it to go onto my driving record. I reached out to Mr. Lawrence and I am extremely glad I did. After reaching out and paying the retainer, he assured me that “he had it handled from here”. Everything went extremely smooth. He was always quick to respond to any questions I had and he kept me in the loop with what was going on with my case. He went to court and represented me, I didn’t even have to go at all… and the best part is, he got my ticket totally dismissed!! What more could I ask for? After days of research on law firms in the valley that specialize in gun rights I contacted the Heath law firm to help me restore my 2nd amendment rights after a mistake I made almost 30 years previous earned me a class 3 felony on my record. Paula was very helpful and kept me updated on the process. They were very patient with me while I collected character letters to add to my petition and it was a very easy process overall. I received the news this morning 10/4/23 that my motion was granted and I am free of the prohibition that has followed me since 1996. I recently moved to AZ from CA, and I was pulled over (speeding), and the cop that pulled me over told me I was lucky he wasn’t going to arrest me, because I was going (what he said) was 20 miles over the posted speed limit as well as in a school zone. I was completely shocked, since this was my very first time being pulled over in the 20+ years I’ve been driving. The cop told me that I will need to go have my fingers printed and get my pictures taken. This whole situation was eased when I reached out to Mark and his team. I was arrested for DUI in Alameda County. Marc was recommended to me by a family member. I did not know whether to hire him before the District Attorney would make a charging decision. I had a DUI case and a resisting arrest charge. Although this was my first offense, the city where I was pulled over and ticketed is known for being very strict. However, Eric was a formidable advocate. He successfully got one of my DUI counts dropped and the resisting arrest charge reduced. His communication and strategy were impeccable. In the interest of Justice, he did everything correctly to prove my innocence. He contacted people, made calls and went to speak to the dective and the district attorney directly. My family, like so many, battled with a drug addicted child. The addiction led to criminal behavior. We never stopped fighting for our son for the 11 years of hardcore heroin addiction. Multiple times he was incarcerated for both petty and serious crimes. We hired Philip Brown to help on multiple cases over a period of 5 years. In each instance he prevailed in our son's favor. I am also a criminal defense lawyer and have been since 1997. Jim Gass was actually one of my supervising attorneys when I was a law clerk and in the first 3 years of my practice I worked with him extensively. He supervised my first jury trial. I have represented co-defendants in cases with him.
If I needed a lawyer to defend me in trial, I would move Heaven and Earth to convince Jim to represent me. I am not at all exaggerating.
I have seen...I don't know...maybe thousands of criminal defense attorneys in action. I have seen criminal defense lawyers who are flashier and undoubtedly more comfortable with charging people crazy high fees because, after all, being a little full of BS is part of the business side of criminal defense. I don't know how to say this as a positive thing but, I don't think that Jim is good at convincing people to fork over their entire life savings to represent them. He should be because he really is worth it.
Jim is exceptionally good in front of juries...exceptionally...really exceptionally. Are you getting that I am saying he is exceptionally good at connecting with normal types of people who end up on juries?
And, the other thing good about Jim is that he doesn't come across as threatening or arrogant to prosecutors even though they know he is a threat. So, while other criminal defense lawyers may tick off prosecutors and make them want to beat the lawyer, prosecutors in the Inland Empire courts just kind of know that he WILL beat them. It is that trait that allows Jim to effectively settle cases in my opinion.
I wish I could pull rabbits out of hats like Jim can. Anyone who writes a bad review doesn't know what they are talking about and I bet that most of the people who have reviewed him would give him stars that go beyond 5 if it were possible to do it.
Funny but, the only reason I am writing this review is that I have a former client who I just gave Jim's information to so I had to look him up on the internet to get the number. Those people will be in good hands if they hire him.

Working with Attorney Philip was an amazing experience. Before meeting Philip, I was in a panic as I had received an offer from as a federal contractor and I had to do an FBI CORI which required fingerprints. I had called the lawyer who had worked on my case and tried to get him to Seal and Update my FBI CORI but his response was “there’s nothing we can do.” That is when I went online to do my research and that’s how I landed on attorney Philip’s website. I read through the testimonies on his website but I had to say, I was skeptical at first because not everything that’s on the internet is real. I followed my gut & called attorney Philip’s office. Philip was extremely knowledgeable about the FBI Sealing and Updating CORI process and he was able to answer all my questions. It felt great working with a lawyer that was confident in his work. Philip returns phone calls and emails promptly. Once I handed all the required documents he needed to work on my case, it took him 5 days to give me the exciting news that my FBI CORI was sealed and that the FBI update will be effective within 17 weeks. I highly recommend Philip and I will hire him again for any legal issues.

I came to Elliot for a consultation to handle my 10 year old felony case. I hadn't completed the terms of my probation, none of it, and I was ready to turn myself in. As it turned out not only was my felony probation violation open, but also a slew of smaller warrants for traffic violations.
I consulted with a few different attorneys who were all really great but I decided to go with Elliot and I am very glad that I did.
First he met me on a Saturday which was very convenient. He genuinely seemed to care about helping me. He was honest and upfront, didn't make any promises to give me false hope. Which I appreciated as I knew how serious the consequences were going to be.

Tommy Hull and his paralegal Kenna are awesome! I picked Tommy as my criminal defense attorney after an officer made a false DWI allegation against me. As a former prosecutor, Tommy is incredibly knowledgeable and knows how to get things done; he’s a straight shooter and always made time to meet with me when I had questions, and was able to give a realistic guesstimation of outcome right away, but never sugar coated anything(he tells you things you don’t want to hear but need to). Paralegal Kenna is also awesome, she was super responsive, and knowledgeable giving answers she knew on the fly, or reaching out to Tommy when needed. Tommy is a little more pricey than some options in the region, but in my opinion a very worthwhile investment. He had everything taken care of within 7 weeks, and while he told me that I could expect to lose my drivers license; he ended up having the ALR case dismissed too… So I never lost my license, which statistically is something that lawyers in these cases are only able to achieve less than 5% of the time. But I think that’s very much consistent with who he is… I’d guess Tommy is easily within the top 5% of lawyers capability wise.
